Chapter 22: Akihiko's Plan To Have Nia Part Two

Nia laid in a hospital bed in a room alone as she had just woke up some time ago. Since the medic in charge of her had yet to check on her, she had to recollect everything that she had remembered.

'Geez, my jaw is killing me,'  She sat up and lightly placed her hand on the bandages around it and her head. 'Naruto must've been really pissed... he knocked me out cold with that punch. He really hates Akihiko for some reason...'

She then lowered her eyes and sighed.

I feel kinda guilty... he must be so upset with me right now too. I mean, I let that guy stay longer than needed and made him get all upset. He was furious...

Nia glanced out the window to see that it was already evening.

Damn... I was out for hours... it's pitch black out there!

Knock, knock. Someone was at the door. Nia turned her head left and observed as "Naruto" was leaning right at the door with his arms crossed behind his head. Immediately, the girl's cheeks filled with blood and her heart rate accelerated.

"Naruto..." She smiled and stood up from her bed, trying to ignore the pain coming from her jaw. "You're... here to see me?"

Akihiko approached the girl and sat on her bed, resting his hand on her cheek as he asked, "You doing alright? I've been very worried."

"I have some swelling and bruising, but... thankfully, my jaw isn't fractured or anything like that. In fact, I should be up and ready to go by afternoon tomorrow. I'm sorry to worry you... thanks for being so thoughtful as to visit me. I'm really touched."

"Don't be sorry, Miss Ni- Uh, Curly Brow. It's my fault you got hurt in the first place. You probably can't forgive me for that, can you?"

"Of course I can," The girl placed her hand atop of his and smiled warmly. "Even though... I'm upset about what happened... I know that you didn't intentionally mean to hit me. I'm glad... you're okay though, Naruto."

'Miss Nia is so gentle... and forgiving,' The feudal lord thought as he kept the conversation moving.

"I've brought some medicine for you from the medics; it'll help alleviate the pain in your jaw." Akihiko then grabbed a bottle of something on the nightstand next to her bed. "You gotta drink three full bottles of these immediately."

"These?" She grabbed it, twisted the cap off and drunk right out of it before taking her lips off of it and coughing. "Ack! Ugh, it's kinda nasty..."

"You have to drink it. If you don't drink it quickly, your jaw will be in worse condition."

"That's so sweet of you to have brought this to me. Thank you very much."

Because she was so trusting and because she believed him to be Naruto, Nia went at it again and began chugging down the liquid.
She had no idea what she had just put into her system.
