They returned to the car after a long while taking the second staircase in the building. Renjun had won over his tears, he even brightened up when Kun stopped next to an ice cream place to buy him some.

"Ok?" asked Kun when they were driving towards the grocery store.

His phone rang and he pressed the loudspeaker quickly.

"Where are you with Renjun, it's nearly midnight he's a kid!" they head Lauren's worried voice.

"We went for grocery shopping and Renjun wanted some ice cream so I drove to the best cafe on the north side of the city we're on our way back," said Kun winking to Renjun who felt like an accomplice in an action movie.

"If Jae finds out!" said Lauren her voice sharp.

"I won't tell him, so it's up to you if he will," muttered Kun grinning wider.

Renjun heard Lauren sighing through the phone.

"You can sleep on the couch tonight," she said when Renjun tried his best to keep a straight face.

"Love you to," muttered Kun turning the call off.

They both broke out in laughter when they stopped at a red light.

Yet they made the grocery shopping quick at a late night convenience store. Kun was driving in a seeped so they reached the house 12 past midnight.

The light in the living room was on when they sneaked in. Renjun saw Lauren sitting on the couch under a blanket, she closed the book she was reading the moment they entered.

"This is careless and a childish behavior!" she said raising her voice coming to them. "Junie honey you must be exhausted, go upstairs I'll come to say goodnight," she caressed his hair while her voice turned from angry to calm.

"I'm sorry Lauren," said Renjun.

"My baby you don't need to be sorry, it's not your fault, it's all this..." she looked at Kun her eyes tossing thunders.

Renjun glanced at the boy who was still chuckling under his nose, he seemed unbothered.

"I'll put it in the kitchen," he said taking the bags.

Renjun noticed he had left the camera in the car.

"Really this is so bad, if Jae finds out!" complained Lauren. "Go change into your pajamas quickly you need to rest," she said so Renjun walked upstairs.

He saw her hurrying to the kitchen so he sneaked down to listen to their argument.

"What were you doing there, taking him somewhere in the middle of the night!" shouted Lauren.

"I told you we were grocery shopping, then went for ice cream the time got late," muttered Kun.

"You... you..." Lauren took long breaths.

"Or what do you think we were doing, don't you believe me?" asked Kun.

Renjun sneaked closer glancing behind the door frame to see them shouting at each other in the kitchen.

"Tell it! What do you accuse me of!" Kun was watching her with disappointment.

"Forget," she turned around but he grabbed her hand pulling her closer.

"Say it," he muttered.

"You can't take him to places like... like," she tried to free herself off his grip.

"Like drug dealers yes?" asked Kun raising his voice causing her to look at him. "I haven't taken anything since three and a half year, since the last rehab, I thought we've been through it," he said seriously.

"I know... it's just..." Lauren sniffed and he let go of her hand. "Sometimes I'm so afraid you will..." she leaned against the kitchen counter with her head low.

"Lauren, I'm trying my best ok? For you. Working with myself day by day to never do it again, but I don't know, there might be a time, a day, a weakens, I don't know. I hope it won't happen, but I don't know. Still I don't want to go back to it," Kun walked to the counter rubbing his face in his hands.

"And you can't even find a place for Jungwoo, I'll be back to London for another half year in a month, who will take care of him?" she asked.

"I will," muttered Kun.

"Why? What for? He's not even our family!" she raised her voice.

"He has no one, he's a lonely person in need. Would you just leave him somewhere on the street?" asked Kun looking towards her.

"No, but... he's... he's like a baby, he will never be adult or able to take care of himself," she whispered.

"Doesn't he remind you of Junie a little, absolutely innocent, sweet, lovely and helpless, lost all alone in the whole wide world?" asked Kun when Renjun felt something tightening up inside him.

"Yes but Junie is..." whispered Lauren.

"Yes he's brave and clever, he will grow up to become and amazing young man. He's extremely talented, he has it all to be as successful as Taeyong and Jae. But this one here, right now we're his only option."

"But it will mean you won't visit me in London for this long six moths," said Lauren so suddenly.

"Lauren..." Kun looked at her buffed then walked to her pulling her in his arms. "I can take him with me, there's no way I will stand six months without seeing you, you're my sanity," he placed a kiss on the top of her head then down her face till he caught her lips in his.

They started to make out hard till his hands pulled her pajama shirt up her back, so she let go of his lips taking quickened breaths.

"I'll go to check on Junie," muttered Lauren pulling her shirt down.

"So I'll take my duvet on the couch," muttered Kun.

"Don't even dare to," Lauren bit his lower lip pulling it in her teeth like Daddy Tae did to Jae very often.

Her gaze was a little absent, her face red when she turned around so Renjun ran upstairs falling into his bedroom taking his jacket off, jumping under his duvet closing his eyes when the door slammed.
