It's October and I'm watching Supernatural.
Holt walks in the apartment. "What are you watching?" he asks me, throwing himself on the couch beside me.
"Supernatural," I answer, not paying too much attention to him.
"Looks fun."
After getting him hooked from that episode I start the whole series from the beginning. Holt becomes addicted. We spent an entire weekend only watching Dean and Sam saving and ruining the world. I should be studying, I should be doing anything but rewatching that show for the twentieth time, but it's been firmly established that I'm Holt's bitch, so I'll do whatever he wants, and somehow, he needs me to watch this with him. He won't be watching any episodes without me, like I don't already know all the punchlines, like I actually need to be here.
"So, when are Dean and Castiel going to admit their feelings? Like right before one of them dies, for real? Castiel, obviously," Holt asks me at one point.
"They don't. The writers would never let it happen. Dean can't be gay."
"But he wouldn't be gay. Castiel isn't a dude, he's a celestial being. He doesn't have a gender. Jimmy's body is just a vessel. He could be in a girl too."
"But that's the difference. Because he's in a guy, it'll never happen. If he had been in a woman's body, then they would have been shagging for ages."
Holt is frowning. "But that doesn't make sense, it's the same being in the two situations."
"Try telling that to homophobes."
"I still think Dean and Castiel love each other."
"Oh, I completely agree too. But it's never going to happen."
