We were sitting in the waiting room at the hospital waiting on some kind of update on Carol.

I couldn't sit anymore I stood up and started to pace.

I feel two hands on my hips. I know it's Dominic. I feel his chin rest on my shoulder.

"Baby you need to calm down."

"I can't Dominic."

"October Kinkaid?"

"Yes?"

I see a doctor walk up to me.

"How is she?"

"She's stable at the moment. We're running a bunch of different tests."

"Um can we see her?"

"Yes two at a time."

"Dominic?"

"Of course."

Dominic and I follow the doctor down a hallway. I walk into and see Carol with an IV in her hand and a breathing tub up her nose.

"Are you ok?"

"I don't know. I feel really weak. They said they're gonna run a bunch of tests."

I just shake my head.

A few minutes later a doctor came in.

"So far we found nothing in your blood. There's going to be someone from radiology to take you for x-rays."

The doctor leaves the room and I follow him.

"Um excuse me doctor?"

"Thomas."

"Dr. Thomas could this be a side effect from her cancer?"

"Cancer what cancer? She never informed us about having cancer nor did we find any irregularities in her blood. Your birthday mother does not have cancer."

What? She does not have cancer?

"Um Dominic I need you!"

Dominic comes out of the room and follows me. We go out to the parking lot and I just start yelling.

Dominic just walks up to me and puts his arms around me.

"She lied to me Dominic!"

"What?"

"She doesn't have cancer! The doctor told me so!"

"Um guys is this a bad time?"

I look over Dominic's shoulder and I see Michael.

"What's up?"

"Here's all the information you wanted."

"Thanks Michael."

"Let's go inside babygirl."
