At Elena's house, Elena, Mallory Caroline, and Bonnie were in the kitchen. Elena carried over a pot to where Bonnie was sitting at the island, "The problem with my dad's normal side of the family is normal made for a really boring summer." Bonnie told the three girls.

"After the last few days, I would kill for a normal family," Caroline commented before Mallory decided to add in.

"When I was human, I was a princess and normal for my family was girls being married off to rich men, preferably princes, and were sent off to foreign countries while the boys were the golden children and got to stay in the country as they learned the basics of being a king." She explained and the whole group stared at her in shock.

"Really?" Caroline asked in disbelief and Mallory nodded before Caroline helped Elena decant the Chili in a casserole, "Since when did you learn how to cook?"

"Damon helped a little," Elena informed the three girls and Mallory gave her an amused look while Bonnie frowned in concern.

"Damon's helping you cook now?" Bonnie questioned, raising a brow at her.

"Both of you stop judging. He's just trying to be a good--" Elena began to say until she suddenly screamed out in pain, "Ow!"

"Did I splash you?" Caroline asked concerned as she quickly set down the pot she was holding.

"No, no, my necklace." She quickly told her as she pulled the pendant of the necklace off her skin, revealing her skin to have a burn mark where the pendant touched her, "It burned me."

Elena removed the necklace and held it by the chain, "Maybe it's a sign you shouldn't be wearing it." Caroline commented.

 "Caroline..." Bonnie warned her friend.

"What, I'm just saying," Caroline argued defensively, "If you're going to be 'cooking' without Stefan."

Elena scoffed, sharing a glance with Bonnie. Mallory stared at the necklace intently before holding her hand out, "Let me see it," She insisted and Elena immediately held it out for her to take, hoping Mallory's eight hundred years of knowledge could give her an answer.

Just as Mallory was about to grab it, there was zap coming from the necklace and sparks flew out of it. Elena immediately dropped it and the whole group shared a shock expression. After a few moments of them all standing in silence, shocked by what had happened, Mallory cautiously picked the necklaces up from the counter, eying it closely, "How did I not notice this before?" She asked herself quietly when she finally noticed why the necklace had looked so familiar before.

"What are you talking about?" Elena asked Mallory confused, "Notice what?"

France, 1224

After the arrival of the Mikaelson at French Court, Kol wasn't the only Mikaelson she found herself spending time with. After meeting Kol, she soon met his younger sister, Rebekah, the sibling he was closest with.

Mallory wanted to show Rebekah the city of Paris, which was one of her most favorite places that she had visited in Europe. She thought it was Rebekah's first time seeing Paris, but she was utterly wrong.

On the way back from spending a day in Paris, Mallory and Rebekah sat in the horse-drawn carriage and Mallory's personal driver brought them back to the castle. There were a few guards on horses surrounding the carriage, just in case an enemy tried to start something by kidnapping the princess.

Mallory smiled as her eyes locked on the necklace around Rebekah's neck. She touched the necklace, lifting it up a bit, "That is a gorgeous necklace," She complimented Rebekah, who smiled, "From where did you get it from?"
