нє ѕτοο∂ ѕτιℓℓ, his soulmate holding his wrist. Their eyes meeting for the second time in this day. Even worse, in a middle of a cafeteria where most students who are starving come to.

He could feel a few eyes looking at them and he felt his cheeks burning from embarrassment.

He's not used to such attention.

"Hey, so, uh..." Soonyoung scratched his head and patted his bag. He cursed silently and Jihoon could feel his impatience starting to rise. But the sight of the boy before him is actually endearing, fidgeting here and there.

Is this how he acts when he's nervous?

"I—uh... I have your book." Soonyoung started awkwardly and Jihoon nodded, speaking. "I know. I have yours." No stuttering. Good.

"I-I'll give it back later because—" he looked back at a table in which Jihoon can see two guys and another newcomer who sat with them (is that Chan?) looking their direction. A guy with a mole on his cheek was waving his hand with a smile while the chubby one was talking to the waving guy, slapping him to catch attention. Chan was busy arguing with another student, a girl. (Is that Chan's sister? They look a lot like each other.)

Soonyoung turned back to him and Jihoon looked back as well, the usual silent-bitch face activated. But inside, he was panicking, wanting to run a mile away from his soulmate.

"Uh... well, because my friend, Seungkwan," he pointed to the chubby boy who was looking at him intensely while speaking. "—actually took my books without me realizing and put it back to my locker."

Jihoon nodded, understanding. "I'll give back yours later as well." Soonyoung nodded, feeling awkward. They stood there, only nodding to each other and Jihoon looked down.

"You can let go of my hand now."

"Oh, yeah! Uh—" he retracted his hand and somehow, Jihoon felt cold, like wanting that warm back again. Jihoon actually reached out, but pulled his hand back and clenching upon realizing. "I'll see you later then, Jihoon-ssi?"

"Yeah, yeah." Soonyoung nodded, his hands swinging awkwardly by his sides. Someone cleared their throat behind Jihoon and they both turned to look, only realizing it was Mingyu, holding a tray and passing it to Jihoon.

He even winked without being subtle and Jihoon had the urge to hit him with the tray. "Oh, hey, uh—Wonwoo!"

"It's Mingyu." Mingyu corrected and Soonyoung bit his tongue, waving again before walking away, leaving Jihoon with a sense of longing for the other's company again.

He may be stiff earlier, but his clumsiness about choosing his words was bemusing. And the whole time, Jihoon could only feel the tingling in Soonyoung's touch. It felt weird.

In a good way.

He felt an arm wrapping around his neck and Mingyu was cackling.

"Holy shit, hyung! That was the first time I've seen him like that! He was so awkward." Wonwoo chuckled and nudged Jihoon who was stomping on Mingyu's foot. "You were, too."

"No, I wasn't!"

"You may try to hide it but we can see through you, Jihoonie-hyung." Another voice erupted and they turned to see Minghao behind Mingyu, smiling softly at Jihoon.

"But, hey! I never thought in my life that I'd see Soonyoung like that!" Junhui emerged behind his soulmate, wrapping a possessive arm around his waist and resting his other hand on his hip.

"The first time we met, he was all giddy and excited! Like, shit! He was so loud."

"You're being loud yourself, babe." Junhui only grinned and pecked Minghao's cheek who pushed his face away from him.
