So there's this kid in your class, right. And he's kind of cute but he wears these ginormous glasses so everyone in school calls him Granny V. He doesn't really talk to anybody, and he keeps his head down in most of your classes. You notice that he tends to sit in front of you in every class and one day, your friends at lunch started teasing you about this.
"I think Granny has a crush on you," one girl said mockingly.
"Ew," said another. "I think I'd drop out of school if he liked me."
You wanted to punch both of them in their heads but you sucked up it, instead just saying, "He doesn't like me. He never even talks to me. Just shut up and eat your tuna salad, Susan."
So after lunch, when you got to your next class and V sat in front of you again, you couldn't help that nagging feeling that maybe your friends were right. Before the teacher came in, you hurried up and tapped him on the shoulder, hoping you could say something to him to try and get a feel for how the guy felt towards you.
He surprised you however, by spinning around in his seat and making a big heart with his hands for you.
