Dearest Karen,

I now see that you understand my sexuality better than I do even though you don't have access to my thoughts. I am very impressed that you could figure out that I am just looking for attention by saying I'm asexual in mere seconds. It took me weeks to figure everything out, and even then, I still hadn't realized that I am clearly not asexual.

Thank you for telling me that you know better because that really helped me. I now see that I was being silly and misguided this entire time, and I actually don't know what asexuality is. I think the thing that you said that helped me most was that I must be a plant if I'm asexual. That added a very tastefully humorous spin on this serious affair that greatly affects me, and I was relieved that when I told you I was asexual, your first reaction was to say I could not be human if that was the case. That was definitely very crucial in making more comfortable with telling you important information about me in the future.
