The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

When Peter was a baby. Tony found him. He took him in a took care of him. One day when a young baby Peter was crying because of a nightmare Tony gave Him something that he had a long time ago.
        "Pretty cool huh? Well, not as cool as me. But he's got his good points. Now if I have him to you, gotta promise to keep his identity a secret 'kay? This is a promise between men." Tiny said handing his a captain America plush. 
          "Baba?" Peter said. Tony smiled.
          "Good squirt. Now since he's a superhero, he fights bad things. So he'll make quick work of you." Peter giggles tiredly and starts to fall asleep. "Glad you seem to agree. So let's get you to bed huh bud?" Tony walked to Peter's room and put him now.
          

--- three years later ---
            "Daddy I can't find him!" Peter said as he ran into the living room. Natasha was there so was Steve. Tony looked over his Shoulder.
             "Can't find who bubba?" Tony asked as he stood up to go to his crying son.
             "Captain America! I can't find him!" Peter said. "And I start pre-school tomorrow! He needs to keep me safe!" Tony looked at his son. Forgetting the two Avengers that were there watching.
               "Petey we'll find him don't worry!" Tony said. "Would Captain America like if you cried about him getting lost! Maybe he's on a mission to help save his friend Winter!" Peter looked at the ground.
                 "No... He wouldn't..." But Peter couldn't keep his tears away. Tony did the last thing he could think of.
                  "J.R.A.V.I.S."
                  "Already on it sir." The AI said and the Lion sleeps tonight started to play.
                   "In the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight." Tony sang picking up Peter and walking over to the couch where Steve and Nat sat. "In the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight." Peter's eyes started to go heavy. "Near the village the peaceful Village Lion Sleeps Tonight, Near the village the quiet Village The Lion Sleeps Tonight."
Peter was now sleeping in Tony's arms but Tony kept going. "Hush my darling don't fear my darling Lion Sleeps Tonight." Tony closed his eyes as he kept going. "Hush my darling don't fear my darling Lion sleeps tonight." As the song finished Tony kissed Peter's head and went to put him in his bed.
                 "Dis he even know that we were here?" Steve asked Nat laughed.
                  "Dunno... maybe we should ask him." She said Steve nodded and Tony almost jumped when he saw them in the couch.
                  "Forgot you two were here..." Tony said Nat laughed. "So you saw that huh?"
                  "I'm surpized you didn't give him a iron man... really a Captain America one?" Nat asked Tony looked away face red.
                   "Every One had a Captain America plush!" Tony said crossing his arms. "So did I..." Tony sighed.
                  "I didn't know you could sing." Steve said Tony blushed even more.
                    "Well after four years you get good ya know? Plus it's the only song that can get Peter to calm down." Tony said he looked next to Steve. Steve followed his gaze. There next to Steve poking out of the couch was a Captain America plush. Steve smiled and got it out.
                    "Do they still make these?" Cap asked looking at the toy. Tony shook his head.
                    "After you went into the ice for about five years these things didn't sell anymore... I'm just lucky to have one." Tony said grabbing it.
                   "Tony... if you hate me so much why keep this?" Steve asked pointing to the toy. Tony sighed.
                   "I gave this to Peter when he was really young... one he was having a bad dream and I told him if he kept Cap's identity he would keep the kid safe... He looks up to you... it hurts me to see him so sad but so happy!" Tony said with tears about to fall. Steve was taking back by this. "My son looked up to both of us! Heck he wanted 'Ironman and Captain America to best friends' again! How am I supposed to tell a four year old that might not happen! That his two favorite heroes might not get back together!" Steve pulled Tony into a kiss while Nat took a picture for blackmail later.
          "Tell him." Steve said. "Tell him that his two favorite heroes aren't getting back together... but are getting married." Nat's jaw dropped Tony just looked into his eyes. "Anthony Stark. Would you do me the honor, and marry me?" Steve got down on one knee and held Tony's hand. Tony nodded and kissed Steve. Who just smiled.
               "Daddy?" Peter said from his spot in the hallway. Tony smiled.
                "Hey bud... Remember how I told you Captain America has a secret identity?" Peter nodded. Tony smiled. "And you know that Daddy knows Captain America?" Peter nodded rubbing the sleep from his eye. "Well Peter... I would like you to meet... Captain America!" Tony picked up Peter and made him look at Steve. "And what if I told you. Captain America is gonna be your new papa?" Peter smiled.
              "Really?!" Peter asked Tony and Steve smiled.
              "I sure am bud." Steve said.
              "Auntie Nat did you hear!! Captain America is gonna be my new Papa!!" Peter said getting out of Tony's arms and ran to Natasha. She smiled and picked him up.
                "I sure did baby. I sure did!" She kissed his head. He laughed and smiled.
                 "I love you Petey." Tony said kissing his head.

I'm kinda having a bad day... tomorrow is a day I'm regretting to come... the week after next week is finals, and I've been helping around the house alone because my brother is a selfish jerk who only thinks about his Mental Health and not others! *takes a deep breath.* anyway... I felt like writing this. Also I have two or three chapters in the works... hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll see you in the next one. Bye and Stay gold~
