The Lion sleeps tonight pt. 2

I really don't know...

Peter was jumping up and down as his papa took him to school. Tony and Steve were happily married for about two months. Peter was doing good in school.
              "Do you think you and daddy can pick me up today?" Peter asked Steve. Who held Peter's hand.
              "Depends on how Fury is feeling..  you know how he is Pete... but I promise some time this week me and Daddy will pick you up together!" Steve said getting down to Peter's level. Peter nodded. "Come on. Let's get you to you're class." Peter smiled and they walked in. Steve walked Peter to his table and was about to say goodbye when the teacher walked up to him.
               "Are you Mr. Parker?" She asked Steve was about to correct her when he remembered that's Peter's fake last name.
              "Yes Ma'am I am." Steve gave her a sweet smile. "What do you need?"
              "Has Peter told you about Fmilt night that is coming up?" She asked Steve looked down to see Peter shrinking into his seat.
              "That conversation was never brought up... I'll ask my husband if he was told." Steve said the Teacher just blinked when he said husband.
                "He has two dads?" The teacher asked. Steve nodded. "Sorry... I'm not trying to be rude... it's just Peter never really talks about his home life... or talks at all in class... when we're outside. He just sits under a tree and plays with his Captain America.." the teacher said Steve nodded.
                 "Odd... Peter talks a lot when at home." Steve smiles. "Sometimes he's the one telling us the bed time story." The teacher laughed. But then he nitted his brows together. "But dose he have any friends?"
                 "If he dose they're kept away... He dosen't even talk to his table group." The teacher said. Steve looked at Peter who was now coloring.
                  "Thank you Ma'am... I'll talk with Peter and My husband." He said she nodded then left. 
                "Papa... please, don't go to Fmily night..." Peter said Steve was taken back by this.
                "Why bud?" Steve asked Peter just looked down.
              "Hey Punny!" Some kid said hitting Peter in the back of the head. He laughed when he walked away.
              "Please papa... don't tell Daddy anything..." and with that Peter sat back down. Colored his picture. Steve sighed and kissed the top of his head then walked away.

---- at the tower ----
               "Tony we need to talk." Steve said Tony walked around the corner choked on his cup of coffee and turned around. "Tony!"
                "Yes babe?" Tony smiled at his husband.
                 "Did Peter tell you about Fmilt night?" Steve asked. This time it was Tony's turn to be confused.
                  "No... no he hasn't..."
                  "Yes he has." They looked to see Natasha standing at the entrance to a hallway. "I also know about that kid." Tony looked between the two.
                "You also talked with the teacher?" Steve asked she sighed.
               "She's nice." Nat looked down. "But the thing is.. I think she scared Peter might not make friends." Tony dropped his cup.
                "What do you mean?" Tony asked. Steve looked at Nat.
               "She said Peter dosen't talk in class, he plays by himself, and he dosen't work with anyone at his table." Nat said Steve nodded. Tony started to get up he walked to the elevator. The two followed.
                "Tony please... don't do what I think your gonna do." Steve said Tony just looked at the doors.
                "No no... I'm just gonna pull Peter out of class..." Tony said. "That's all."

---- With Peter ----
               "In the jungle the mighty jungle the Lion sleeps tonight..." Peter sang to himself while playing with his Captain America plush.
               "Hey Peter." His teacher said Peter looked up and smiled.
               "Hi Miss. May!" He said. She smiled.
               "May I sit with you?" She asked he nodded and she sat down. "How did you learn that song?"
                "My daddy would sing it to me when I'm having a bad day or a scary dream... sometimes I sing it to him..." Peter said looking at his Captain America. "Daddy sometimes get scared... Papa and Auntie Nat said it was from his past..." the teacher looked at him.
                "Peter... can you sing at Family night?" She asked Peter looked at his Captain America. "Please Peter... you can sing that song..." Peter nodded.

---- Later that Day ----
     Peter waited for everyone to leave he went to his teacher. Steve stoped Tony from going into the room.
             "Here you go... have your Aunt or one if your dad's sign this and you can sing." She said with a small smile. "Thank you Peter for doing this. I know it's going a little out of you zone but it make the school and your family proud!" Peter nodded and said good bye to his teacher.
                "Daddy Papa!" He said and hugged them. They smiled. "Auntie Nat can you sign this!" She nodded taking the paper.
                 "What's this Peter?" Tony asked his son when he saw the paper. Already know what it was. Peter zipped his mouth shut and smiled. Nat smiled and handed the Paper to Peter.
                  "Come on. Let's get home. The Avengers are coming bunny." Steve said picking Pter up. As they walked out. Mr. Thompson walked over to Tony.
                  "Mr. Stark!" He said Tony turned around to face the man. "I've been wanting a meeting with you... I want to see if we can team up." He smiled.
                  "I own Stark Industries. You'll have to go to the CEO Pepper Potts. But let me say she's really busy right now." And with that Tony left.
           
---- a few weeks later ----
                  "Auntie Nat do you think they'll come?" Peter asked his Aunt.
                 "Peter... the team would never miss this... plus Tony and Steve need to get out." She said getting to his level. Peter nodded.
                   "What if a mess up! What if they don't come? What if Flash takes my solo?" Peter started to panic.
                   "Peter. Peter." Nat grabbed him. "You're going to do fine... plus screw Flash! He dosen't this song like you do! But think Peter! You're singing with the big kids!" Nat said Peter nodded. He hugged her.
                   "I love you Anutie Nat." He said she smiled and hugged back.
                   "I love you to Pete. After the show you'll get to have Captain America." She said and kissed his head. "Break a leg." Then she left.

       Steve, Tony and the team sat in the front because they were Avengers.
               "Welcome Parents, family, and friends to Family night. Now here's a song performed by the frist graders and a pre-schooler." The principal said. Everyone clapped. A small group of kids walked on stage. Then Peter who looked scared.
                  "Go Peter!!" Nat yelled he smiled when he saw his family in the front row. He waved. The Choir started to sing.
                   "In the Jungle the mighty jungle the Lion sleeps tonight. In the jungle the quite jungle the Lion sleeps tonight." Peter sang on key and was smiling. As the choir sang the small parts.
                    "Near the Village the peaceful Village the Lion sleeps tonight. Near the Village the peaceful Village the Lion sleeps tonight." Peter sang again. Tony smiled. He knew his boy had it in him.
        "Hush my darling don't fear my darling Lion Sleeps Tonight." Tony closed his eyes. "Hush my darling don't fear my darling Lion sleeps tonight." Peter smiled as everyone clapped.
               "That's my boy!" Tony yelled. The Avengers cheered and yelled Peter's name. Peter looked at his teacher who gave him two thumbs up and smiled. Peter laughed.

    After that families went to look around the school to see their kids work and stuff.
               "You came!" Peter said running to his Parents. He hugged them. They smiled. "Unlce Thor Unlce Loki!" Peter smiled at the two gods.
               "You did well Young Peter." Loki said with a small smile. Peter hugged Loki. If the Avengers ever ask who is his Favorite family member. Peter would always say Loki.
               "Come on! Let's see some of your work!" Tony said picking Peter up. Peter giggled they walked to Peter's class room. The Avengers walked around looking at all the cool drawings. But one stood out to them. A picture of all of them and Peter. At the bottom it said.
               My family- Peter Parker
They all smiled and looked down at Peter. Who just smiled.
