I couldn't believe that she had just said that in front of me...or at all. I waited for Colby to say something but he just stood there in shock, his face red as fire. I didn't want to start something in his parents house so I just said "Really?" and walked out the door, down the stairs, until I reached outside. I was freaking Kansas. I didn't have anywhere to go and I don't really think that I would leave anyways, but I was hurt that he hadn't said anything. He just let her disrespect me like that. I went and sat on the curb, bringing my knees up, crossing my arms over them, and rested my head on them. I felt tears threaten my eyes but I would not cry over this stupid shit. I squeezed my eyes shut for a minute forcing them back. His high school girlfriend. The one that he "thought" he was in love with. The one that go to spend years with him as a friend, then as his girlfriend. The one who got to know the Colby that I didn't know. I admit it. I was jealous...but she was a bitch. I sat there seething, imagining snatching her by her hair and plowing her face into the ground, until I heard the front door open a few minutes later. I didn't look to see if it was her or Colby, because I was worried that my anger would take control and I would attack her. Since when did I have anger issues? I knew that I shouldn't be worried...not really. I lifted my head and admired the gorgeous ring on my finger. Then I thought about the ring that had that beautiful inscription from the f*cking Notebook that he had given to her. F*ck. I knew it was him before he sat down. I could tell by the way his steps sounded on the concrete driveway, as he walked towards me. I didn't look at him, but his scent filled my nose. He put his arm around my back, scooting closer to me. "I'm sorry she said that." I looked at him them. "I'm sorry that you didn't think it would be appropriate to speak up in there." I said sarcastically. His face flamed up again. Since when did he blush so damn much? I scoffed and looked back down at the ground. "I'm sorry Y/N...I was in total shock that she said it, and then you ran out before I could. I spoke to her after you left. That's what took me so long to follow you." "Is she still in there?" I asked, picking up a twig and poking at the dirt stuck in the cracks of the sidewalk. "Y-yeah." He replied hesitantly. My head snapped up to look at him. My mouth opened to tell him what I thought of that, but he held his hand up. "Wait, wait, wait. Before you say whatever it is you're gonna say, I talked to her. She apologized, and she's going to apologize to you. We just haven't seen each other in a long time, and she's used to bringing up memories when we do see each other. Plus, my parents love her and she's visiting with them." He drug his hand through his hair, making it messier than before. "Can you just come back inside?" "Please?" He asks again, when I don't reply. I stood up, dusting my pants off, and walked back towards the door, not waiting on him. I heard him jogging to catch up. He reached the door right as I did, and opened it for me. I rolled my eyes as I walked through. The first thing I see if Tessa curled up on the couch, with his mom, like she f*cking lives here. "Hey Y/N, are you okay?" Mrs. Brock asks me, giving me a soft smile. I plaster a fake smile on my face and nod. "Yes ma'am, I'm okay. I have anxiety and I needed some fresh air." Her eyebrows crease, just like her son's do. "Oh. Well I'm glad you're okay now. You let me know if you need anything okay?" I nodded, and glared at Tessa before I headed up the stairs. I didn't wait to see if Colby was following me. Instead, I entered his room and sat down at his desk. There was no way that I was going to sit on the bed that they have 'oh so many memories' on. I hear him coming up the stairs, and soon he opens his bedroom door. His eyes go first to the bed, but finds me after he sees that I'm not there. His expression looked pained and I soon find out why. Her head pops out behind him. He walks inside, Tessa close behind. He goes over to the bed and sits down, her close behind, sitting next to him. I see his inch away from her just a little and I couldn't help smirking at her. She meets my gaze and puts on the most sincere face I have ever seen. "Y/n, I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I wasn't thinking. Can you forgive me?" I looked at Colby and found that his expression was hopeful. He wanted me to get along with her because she was his friend. Maybe she was telling the truth and didn't think. It was still rude and I was going to tell her. I chewed on my lip for a moment, staring her down. "That was very rude for you to say that, knowing that Colby and I are together." I thought that I saw a small smile on her face but it disappeared quickly quickly. "I am so happy for you guys by the way! My little Colby, getting married!"  She threw her arms around Colby. "Oh my God, Colbear, I'm so happy for you!" He patted her back awkwardly, then removed her arms from him. She jumped up and rushed me, throwing her arms around me too. "And you y/n! He's a great guy! You're lucky to have him!" I stood there awkwardly, looking at Colby, while her arms were around me. He motioned with his hands for me to hug her back. I stuck my tongue out at him and put my arms around her, barely touching her. She let me go and stood back, looking between both of us. "Well you know what this means, right?" She asked, her gaze staying on Colby this time. He closed his eyes and a soft smile appeared on his face, while he nodded.
