The screened in porch was lined with flowers. His mom must stop by and help take care of the place, because there is no way that he did that. There was a big open window on the bottom floor, the light on inside, showing the living room and into the kitchen. That would be convenient. "Chris said that he has a sliding glass door in the back that we can use to see if we need it. We really just need to be able to hear, so I told Kristie to crack a window if she can." I nodded. "Okay..." I was hesitant to tell him that I wasn't staying in the car. I know that he wanted me too but I just couldn't handle the anticipation of not knowing what was going on, thinking that him and my friends were in trouble.  "Colby..." He pulled into the small alley that was almost directly beside Randy's house, behind the bushes lining his yard. "What?" he asked, his eyes scanning the area for the best place to park. "I'm not staying in the car...," I replied, my voice soft. He glanced at me and back to the narrow road, pulling the car over to the side. It was still in the roadway of the alley, obviously, but hopefully no one used this at this time of night. "What did you say? I didn't hear you." I sighed. Now I gotta say it again. I made sure to raise my voice a little and to try and sound confidant in what I was saying. I couldn't let him talk me out of it. "I'm not sitting in the car." I repeated, my voice steady. He killed the engine and turned in his seat to look at me. "I still don't think I heard you right. What do you mean, you aren't sitting in the car? You aren't going around that maniac!!," His voice got steadily louder and his eyes narrowed at me. I put my hand over his that was still on the gear shift in the middle of the console. "I didn't plan on it, but I want to be outside with you and Chris. If you have to go in, then I'll stay back and hidden." He bit his lip, staring at me, not speaking. I turned my head away from his gaze. My Mom was right. I would never win if he kept using those eyes on me. "I'm not staying in the car Colby." "Baby," He said softly, his voice pleading. I almost turned to meet his gaze again but I stopped myself. Oh shit, but this was hard. "What?" "Please look at me. We need to talk about this." Everything in me ached to look at him, anything he wanted of me, anything to make his voice stop pleading...but I didn't. I kept staring out the window. "I'm not looking at you baby. If I look at you, you'll use your damn eyes on me to make me do what you want. I'm not staying in this car. I promise I'll stay out of harms way. I won't do anything stupid. I just can't sit here without knowing what is going on." He sighed heavily. "Please look at me." Damn it. I couldn't help myself. I turned my head slowly to meet his gaze. "Please don't ask me to stay in the car." I begged him. "Please." A small smile played on the edges of his lips. "I'm not going too. I just don't want you to get hurt. Do you promise me that you won't put yourself into the mix? No matter what. If I'm in trouble, leave it to the others. Our baby is more important." I furrowed my brow. He was super important to me. Him and the baby were both important. I wouldn't risk either one. Would I be able to stay away if he were getting hurt or at risk? I nodded, agreeing to his terms. "Okay, I promise." I wasn't sure that I believed that promise but still. "You know...your eyes do the same thing to me." He said softly. He leaned forwards and pressed his lips against mine, soft at first, then more forcefully. His hand came around to the back of my hand, twisting his fist into my hair. I moaned into his mouth, my own hands finding their way to his hair and pulling gently. I don't know if we would have forgotten about the plan all together in the heat of the moment, but unfortunately, we didn't get to find out. I jumped away from Colby, when there was a knock on his window, a flashlight shining inside. I was scared, at first, thinking that it was Randy, until I recognized the deep laughter. "Fucking Chris," Colby hissed out between his teeth. He opened his door so that we could talk to him. "I'm sorry kids, this isn't the time or place to be making out. I'm going to have to call your parents." Chris died laughing again, thinking he was so damn funny. "Fuck off." Colby replied, but he had a smile on his face. I think he was actually pretty fond of Chris. He drug his hand through his hair and looked back at me. "Let's go then." "Wait, what?" Chris said, his laughter dying in his throat. "Why are you coming? I thought you were staying in the car." He looked back at Colby. "Why is she coming? It's too dangerous." "No, it's not." I spoke up. "I'll get out of the way if anything goes down, and I won't go into the house. I'll be fine." He still didn't look too sure. He glanced towards the street in front of Randy's house. I noticed Kristie's truck sitting there, her still inside. I didn't dare go speak to her though. Couldn't risk Randy seeing us. It was better to stay behind the bushes until she had him distracted. "Kristie isn't going to be happy about this." Chris said, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Well, she doesn't have to be happy. She just has to deal with it." I retorted. "Damn, I'm tired of everyone telling me what to do. I'm not a child." My phone vibrated right then and I pulled it out. "YOU ARE STAYING IN THAT CAR Y/N! DO YOU HEAR ME?" I looked up at Chris, my mouth hanging open, eyes wide. "You told on me?!" I gasped out. "Seriously?! What in the actual fuck Chris?"
