Always the gentleman, even after he finishes beating a man bloody and knocking him unconscious. I sat down, and he closed my door, then walked around to his side, getting in. "I feel great actually. Tired. Very tired...but good." I looked over to him, and took his hand in mind, locking our fingers together. "I'm free from all of this. Thank you." He leaned over and gently pressed his bruised lips to mine. "I'm not finished with him yet." He replied, leaning back. "What do you mean?" I was confused. I thought we were done. "I'm releasing the information anyways. Just to make sure that he never comes back. I'll wait for him to leave, then tell Chris to do his thing. The hidden evidence, the disgusting thing with those girls. He won't be able to come back because he'll be in prison too, but not with Nick. I'll make sure that they are in separate facilities. When the prisoners find out that he's a child predator...well, they won't be too happy with him. I've heard that they dole out their own kinds of punishments." I just stared at him. He was absolutely diabolical. I wasn't sure if I should be shocked, or impressed. I think that I was a little of both, but it was exciting. "How do you still manage to surprise me?" I murmured, staring into his eyes. He just smiled softly, and pressed his lips to mine again. "I'll surprise you for the rest of your life." I closed my eyes, savoring those words. We made it back to Mom's and told her what had happened. "Well, It's about time someone put that jackass in his place. I never did care for him." She laid her hand on my cheek. "I wish that I could have helped you get away from Nick baby. I tried so hard but you just wouldn't leave him." I placed my hand on top of hers. "I know Momma. It's not your fault. I was scared that he would hurt you or one of my friends if I got help from you. That's why I ran away from it all. It's okay now though. It's all over. All of it." She hugged me, and leaned back, grinning from ear to ear. "It definitely is. Now all that's left is your happy ever after." She looked at Colby. "I have a feeling that this young man will make sure that happens." She leaned up on her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. He looked shocked, but a small grin curved his lips. "I will do everything in my power to make sure of it," he replied. "I know you will sweetie. I'm glad that she found you." Colby looked at me, his eyes turning me to mush. "I'm glad she found me too."  Colby gave all of the information that he had on Randy to Chris. He had already left, probably suspecting that Colby was going to turn him in anyways, but the cops from 2 towns over found him the next day. Pulled him over for speeding...convenient. I don't know anything about his case right now, just that he's in jail, with no bail, and trial pending. I spent as much time with the twins as possible, even visiting their mom, before Colby and I had to return to LA. It was so much fun mixing my old life, with a part of my new life, watching Colby interact with all of the people that I use to know. Before I knew it, I was telling them goodbye, but that we would see them soon, and Colby, Mom, and I were on a plane back to LA. My Mom had to take a nerve pill before getting on the plane so she slept most of the way back. Probably a good thing. Her panic attacks were just as bad as mine. When we arrived back home in LA, Mom was wide eyed, like a child at Disney Land. It was amazing to watch. She marveled at all of the people, the traffic, the different stores and restaurants, the beaches. I was excited just watching her be excited. When we got home to the apartments, Colby led her to the guest room like he was showing her a fancy suite. I was actually loving their relationship so much. I could tell that Mom was already in love with him, and he seemed to love her back. It really seemed like my happy ever after was coming together. I still wasn't really showing in my pregnancy, but my stomach have a slight bulge to it and it was hardening a bit. My doctor's appointment was in a couple of days and I couldn't wait! They said that we should be able to find out the gender and I was so incredibly excited! "Oh my goodness, you didn't have to go through all of this for me!" My mom's voice broke me out of my daze. She was trailing her hands over the sunflower yellow comforter that was on the guest bed. It matched the newly hung curtains that were over the window, and even the candles that were sitting on the headboard. Okay, Sam and Kat actually went all out. I would have to thank them. There was a new chair in the corner of the room, white with squishy cushions. The kind that was big enough that you could curl up and sleep in it, or grab a book on a stormy day. Of course, this was LA so there weren't any stormy days...but still. There was now a TV mounted to the wall in front of the bed, with a brand new dresser...and a...really? The entire collection of The Vampire Diaries on BluRay, with the BluRay player on top of the dresser. I almost cried. She was literally only staying for a few weeks and Sam, Colby, and Kat did all of this. Scratch the almost part. The tears fought their way out and traveled down my cheeks silently. "I can't believe you and your friends did all of this for me...I really can't." My mom repeated herself. Her own face was streaked with tears and Colby drew her in for a hug. "I see tears...does that mean she loves it or hates it?" I heard Sam's voice behind me and turn to see him and Kat standing in the doorway.
