"Can we forget about this for tonight? We can talk about her tomorrow. Let's try to make the most of what's left of this crappy day." I heard the pain in his voice. He loves his hometown, even if he doesn't want to live here. I'm sure that He hates that my first experience here has been crap so far. I know how excited he was to show me around. I slide my hands down his back and lean back so that I can look into his eyes. "Yeah, let's go watch some movies with your parents." I say, scrunching my nose up at him. I was still pissed but Colby didn't do anything, not really. I would take it out on Tessa when I saw her again...and I knew that I would because I didn't really see her leaving Colby alone until I made her. We started out the door, when I turned back towards him, stopping him in his tracks. I put my hands on his chest, and then raised them up smacking him a little bit hard. "Oooww," He cried out rubbing his hand across the now slightly reddened area. "For lying to me." I replied sweetly. "But I'm gonna need you to delete her number from your phone. Old friend or not, that was over the line." His eyes grew shaded. "Thought we were gonna talk about this tomorrow." He said grumpily. I shrugged. "We are...but my mind isn't going to change on this." I leaned up and kissed his nose, then the corners of his mouth, then pressed my lips against his, letting him open to me. As the kiss deepened, I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his mouth closer to mine, as he pulled my body closer to his. After a moment, I broke the kiss. "We need to walk down those stairs now, if we plan on making it out of this room. Besides, you said no sex in this house." I reminded him, as I tapped my index finger on his nose. He smiled cheekily at me, and stuck his tongue out quickly, grazing my hand. "Eeeww," I giggled out, wiping my hand across the ass of his jeans. "Yeah, we are going to have find a way to work around that." He muttered, pulling at his jeans to hide his excitement. "You should've put on some sweats." I said in a sing song voice, as I broke away from his arms and headed down the stairs. I heard him come up behind me, then felt a sharp sting on my ass as he slapped it, then bolted down the stairs ahead of me. I giggled again, loving his child-like behavior. Tessa flashed in my mind again, darkening my mood. I pushed it down, muttering to myself. "She'll never have this part of him. The part that matters. She'll never have him again." I kept telling myself this, but I can't help but remember the joy that I saw on Colby's face, when he saw her at the door, and swung her around.

We stayed up most of the night watching movies and bad comedy tv shows. His parents stayed up with us for a few hours, grilling us on the wedding details that I didn't even have figured out yet. I had an hour long conversation with his mother about arranging the flowers in just the right way, or the entire decor would be off. I was leaning back against Colby on the couch, and could feel his silent chuckles throughout the conversation. When they went to bed, he pulled me closer to him, arms under my breasts, and nuzzled into my neck. "God, I thought they would never leave." He replied. I reached behind me and smacked his head lightly. "Stop it. They're your parents." He laughed quietly in my ear. "What do you think of them?" He asked me. I could hear the yearning for me to like them, underneath his tone. That was no problem. "I love them." I sighed, curling my feet onto the couch, and turning slightly in his arms. "They might be the best parents I've ever met, not including my own mother...but they run a very close second." I replied, reaching up to smooth the worry line in between his brows. "Really?" He sounded like an eager child. I nodded. "Really. Not to mention, every time I look at one of them, I'm reminded of what they gave me." He looked confused, as his brow furrowed again. Is he really that dense? I shook my head and smiled. "You dummy. They gave me you. Every time I look at your mother, I see you eyes, and every time your father smiles, I see you. You're a lot like them, you know." He pulled me onto his lap, and kissed my nose. "I know." He stated simply, proudly. Sitting in his lap, I felt his phone buzz against the back of my thigh. I tried to raise off of him so that he could answer it, but he pulled me back down. "Your phone." I said, confused. "Who is at 2 am anyways?" I asked. He looked embarrassed, his cheeks turning slightly red, and his eyes looking down. I slid off of his lap, and reached towards his pockets to answer it myself. He snatched away and pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Who is it, Colby?" I was getting mad now, but I was pretty sure of who it was by the way he was acting. He checked his phone and met my gaze, sorry written all over his face. "It's Tessa. She been texting me for the past 2 hours and I've been ignoring her." I held my hand out for the phone. "Give it." I said sternly. He shook his head. "No." "Colbyyyy" I drug out his name, still holding out my hand. "If you aren't going to tell her to back the f*ck off, then I will. Now give it." "No. I'll tell her. Just not tonight. I want to talk to you about it first." This was really starting to frustrate me. "What is there to talk about?" I exclaimed, throwing my hands in the air. "She tried to get you to f*ck her, knowing that I'm wearing a f*cking engagement ring that you gave me. That just doesn't seem to matter to her though."
