Hayley's POV

"Okay, okay I get it! Now stop fiddling around with me Bekah, and let me go!" Kol scolds the blonde vampire, who is trying to teach him how to blend in with the New Orleans town's people.

Emphasis on the trying part. I couldn't stop the laugh from escaping until it was already out, earning a glare from both the originals.

I raise my hands up before resuming my reading of an old book I found in the basement. It is filled on things about resurrection, re-birth, and how people can change when they come back from the dead. Biting my lip slightly, my mind drifts to the blonde haired girl still laying in her bed dead and hasn't moved in three weeks.

Suddenly the front door opens and closes, and Klaus emerges with Kyle in tow. They appear to be talking, and when they walk into the living room I only catch a bit of what they were saying, "You could have compelled her!"

Compelled? Her? What are they talking about? Whatever they were saying they instantly stop when they reach the room. "Good Morning Hayley, any signs yet?" Kyle asks softly, his eyes full of hope and trust for my daughter and me.

Swallowing the lump in my throat that refuses to let me speak, I smile up at him. "Morning Kyle... Not yet, but it's going to be today. I can feel it." We exchange a smile, and Kol rolls his eyes.

"That's what you've been saying everyday for the past three weeks darling. Maybe it's time to hang up the old coat and move on. I know I have.

"The sun feels wonderful, the sky is clear, and everything is wondrous. Wouldn't you say Nik? You have been experiencing it much longer then I have." When he turns around, there is nothing but hatred and anger in his eyes.

Klaus rolls his eyes back at him. "Oh, enough already Kol! You've come back to life at my daughter's expense, surely you have more to worry about then this argument. Go find yourself a pretty girl to mess with instead of arguing with me." He sneers back at him.

"Actually, Nik, I don't. It seems out lovely sister refuses to let me out of the house until I adapt to this new culture you've all had 1000 years to learn. Considering I was in a box for over 200 years, undaggered and then killed, I'd say no brother I don't. Besides, arguing with you is much more entertaining."

"Oh give it a rest Kol, I'm not in the mood right now." Klaus coldly, and brushes past Kyle on his way to the kitchen.

"It must be that new vampire girl our brother is swooning over, dearest Bekah. She's clouding his judgment and ability to focus." Kol says with a smirk, and I raise one eyebrow at that statement.

What the hell is Klaus doing flirting when our daughter needs our help? Everyone turns and stares at the hybrid with curious eyes, and he sighs in response.

"My love life is none of any of your business, and one more word out of you, Kol, or any of you about this or Adriana will get a dagger in there hearts. Or, maybe I'll just throw you out to fend for yourselves since that seems to be the new thing. Wouldn't you say so, Kol?"

A low hiss comes from Kol's body, and Klaus growls in response. Both look like there about to kill each other and are about to pounce...

"Enough! Enough of this... This nonsense already. Were all obviously upset about recent events, and arguing about it isn't going to get us anywhere.
