Hello!

Oh, my God! I am so excited for this one!
So, I decided to take a swan-dive off a balcony and hope for the best that my pencils, skills, and passion would help me achieve something half decent: basically... I chose to draw something realistic.
As you've seen all of my drawings before this one, they've been cartoon-ish and nowhere near realistic. And the choice to attempt a realistic drawing was a big, risky one. But I did it! And it didn't turn out too bad!
I chose to draw a realistic portrait of... dun dun dun... Taylor Swift!
I quite like Taylor Swift, sometimes her songs do annoy me, but I still like her! I drew her because of that, and also because my mum wanted me to. I took to Pinterest to finding a good quality reference image for my first-ever attempt at drawing a realistic portrait. And, I found one!
Below, you will see four images:
1. The first is of my sketching and mess of pencils (kinda aesthetic, lmao).
2. The second is of my progress halfway through the drawing.
3. The third if of my finished drawing of Taylor Swift.
4. And, the final image is of the photo I referenced, which I found off of Pinterest.
Sorry for my bad photography skills.
     Enjoy:

You can see, in the bottom right-hand corner of the complete Taylor Swift portrait that I drew this on the 11th of December, 2018. I was just about thirteen and a half then.
This took me a while, as portraits always do. Since it was my first, I lost a bit of interest halfway through, and it took me about five hours to draw, in total. But if I were to redraw it, it would probably take me double that time.
I have a lot to say about this drawing, negatives first:
— The background around Taylor Swift is way too smudged. I didn't even realise how much I'd smudged the drawing until I lifted my arm up, halfway through. Oops.
— Her chin is messed up.
— Her nose is too small.
— Her hair is kinda messy.
— The proportions between Taylor's head and body don't completely match, throwing off the quality of the drawing.
     Now, the positives:
— Their is quite a decent amount of detail in the face.
— Her hair isn't too bad.
— I just appreciate the fact that I tried, lmao.
Overall, I enjoyed drawing this, and I think it's decent for a first attempt, but I wish I'd put in more effort.
