Back to school, people! At this point, I started my third year in high school (Year 9) and I was lucky to get both of my electives that I asked for; Commerce and Visual Arts. From what I heard, Visual Arts was a really fun elective, and since I love art, I had to choose it. It was indeed fun. Of course, there was theory to do throughout the year, but most was practical, and a lot of fun. Our first few practical lessons consisted of learning how to use light and darkness with our pencils. We first experimented with our pencils, and then we drew a ball with shading (following our teacher's lesson). Here's my ball:

I was fourteen and a half (approximately) when I drew this. This took an entire lesson to complete, and my period's last about fifty minutes, so I'm guessing it took about half an hour to complete. I quite like the way this turned out. It is a little messy, but I think it's alright. The most important thing is that I enjoyed drawing it, which I did.
