I drew this while in Dalian, China, and I was still thirteen and three-quarters.
This took me... very long. I'm not sure how long, but it definitely took at least six hours. But I'll give you the backstory here:
Every time I ever visited my auntie in China, I would always end up making her 'I love you' cards, drawings, and 'goodbye' cards; it's sort of become a tradition now. I was happy to be back, but with only two days left before my family's return to Australia, I realised that I still hadn't drawn anything. I felt really stupid that I hadn't drawn her anything, considering my improvement over the year, and got to work. I stole a little photograph of her and I when I was only a baby, and spent an entire day on it there (but I had to pack it up multiple times since my auntie was walking around the house, and I pretended to be doing school work). When I finished it, I put it away and showed it to her the day before we were scheduled to leave; she loved it. Like all my childhood drawings I drew for her, she hung this one up on her fridge. I love my auntie so much.
Above, are images of the progress I made. The first two show the original photograph (cut to a heart-shape to fit inside the frame). The last one is the final.
I put so much effort into this drawing because I really, really love my auntie and wanted to give her this to remind her of the memories we've made together despite being so far apart all the time. I'll let you be the judge of this one, but I just know that I'm proud of it.
     :)

Hey!
I was really excited to release this one to show the improvement I've made in my realistic drawings.
I hope you like it!
I'm planning on releasing every day for at least three weeks, as my school break is coming up, but if I don't, I'm sorry.
See you soon!
