On The Floor

June 2020

Alexia's POV:

I laid on the sand and relaxed.

"Hey." Jenni sat next to me.

"What?" I sighed and looked at her. 

"Drink something." She handed me water. "It's hot you need to stay hydrated."

I smirked. "Thanks mom." I drank some of it.

She scoffed. "I love you but I'm not going to the hospital."

I sat up and rested my head on her shoulder. "What have I missed?"

"Leila hasn't left Mariona's side."

"Good. It's working." 

"What's working?" Lola sat next to me.

"Trying to get Mariona and Leila together." Jenni asked.

"Together? They're already together." 

"What!" We both looked at her. We turned to Leila who had her arms wrapped around Mariona.

"Oh, those sneaky little lesbians!" Jenni yelled. 

Carmen laughed. "They've been together for a while. You two really never noticed?"

"No!" I yelled. "What the hell." 

"So just Virginia then?" Jenni asked.

"Apparently."

"What are you thinking for her?" Lola asked.

"This is where I need your help." I smirked. 

Jenni's POV:

"Vir!" I ran over to my friend.

"Oh hey, Mrs. Putellas." She laughed. 

"Don't." I sighed. "Enough about me. How are you?"

"Enough about you? Jenni you just came over here."

"No need to get defensive."

"I'm not? I'm confused?"

"I don't like your attitude."

"What is happening."

"That's it. I'm leaving." 

"Wait! What?"

"All you." I passed by Lola. 

"Aw." Alexia grabbed my hand. "I love watching you confuse someone that isn't me. I'm actually happy we're alone." We started walking. "I wanted to talk to you."

"About what my love?" I asked.

"Us."

"I don't like where this is going."

"Relax." She gently pushed me. "I've just been thinking. You spend all your time at my house why don't you just, move in?"

"Are you asking me to move in?"

"Yes?"

"Ok." 

"Really?"

"We basically live together. Even before the whole Paris incident. I'd love to officially move in with you." 

"Great. And now that Mapi is finally done with my sister."

"When we go home we'll be free from our teammates." I smiled. "Yay."

"Even though Mapi is being stupid and hasn't asked Mariana out yet."

"Mapi's a romantic. She'll get there."

"Let's hope so. Mariana is too good for Mapi to let her slip away."

I heard footsteps and turned to see Lola running toward me. 

"Slow down." I grabbed her. "What's going on?"

"Nahikari." She gapsed. "Get Nahikari."

"What?" Alexia looked at me.

"You want to get rid of Virginia?" She nodded. "Get Nahikari. I need a nap."

"You get Nahikari and I'll get Carmen."

"Why are you getting Carmen?" Alexia asked.

"Lola needs a nap. I'm not dealing with her any longer."

"Thanks Jenni." Lola rolled her eyes. 

Alexia's POV:

I plopped on the couch and closed my eyes. "My sleepy angel."

"Touch me and I'll kill you." 

"I was talking to Nala." I heard Nala growl. "Oh fuck you." 

I laughed and looked at the scene. 

"Look at me to fur devil. Alexia is MY girlfriend. Ok? I'm not sharing my girlfriend with a DOG."

"Nala is my child."

"Nala is your DOG." 

I shook my head. "Then get your pillows. You're sleeping on the couch." 

"What!" Jenni looked at me. "I get downgraded to the couch because of the dog?"

"You disrespected my child."

She sighed and looked at Nala. "Devil." Nala barked. "Oh shut it!"

I laughed and walked to my room. "Have fun you two."

"No." Jenni ran after me. "Alexia no." I shut the door. "Alexia why is she looking at me like that? Alexia please open the door! Ale! Please! NO! NALA NO! SIT! STOP!"

I laughed and laid on my bed. I love that weirdo.

The next morning I woke up and noticed the couch was empty. "Jenni?" I walked around. I noticed feet and walked closer. Jenni was laying on the floor asleep, with Nala on top of her. "Adorable." I took a picture and sent it to the group text we had.

How much did you have to bribe Jenni to get that picture? Leila responded.

Nothing. I told her to sleep on the couch after she offended my child and I woke up to that.

Child? Alexia, it's dog. Virginia said.

Blocked

Wait no. Unblock me.

Unblocked.

Bitch

I rolled my eyes and locked my phone. "Hey." I nudged Jenni softly. "Wake up."

I picked up Nala and put her on the couch. "Jenni." I whispered. "Wake up." She slowly opened her eyes. 

"Ow." 

"You slept on the floor." I smiled. "Come on. We have nothing to do today. Come to bed." I reached my hand out. I got her to her feet and we walked to the room.

She fell back to sleep the minute her head hit the pillow. I leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "I love you." I whispered.

"I love you." She mumbled. 

"I know." I closed my eyes and fell back to sleep.
