some Watcher Zed/kinda Grian notes

i have a 1 hour break from online school, i should be doing my mandarin hw and my humanities essay, but fuck it wattpad is better

-to recap, Zed used to be a Watcher when he joined in S5 but due to a lot of emotional abuse from Ring he left with the help of the enderdragon and became bonded to The End rather than to the Watchers

-Zed's wings are slightly different than Grian's; Grian's were more rounded and broad while Zed's were sharper and thinner (Zed's were also darker)

-Ring was the Watcher for the S5 server but because Zed completely broke the connection (unlike Grian who just ran) they weren't able to cross over into S6

-ok fuck it this is just my headcanons no need for and AU

-whilst Grian has more fire-based powers, Zed had more electricity-based powers

-when he was bonded with The End, he basically became an enderman hybrid and gained purple eyes and 'monster mode'

-before he was a hybrid, he had blue eyes with the purple glowing Watcher symbol as a pupil however when they changed to just all-purple with no pupils, no one noticed much of a difference since blue with some purple and all purple look pretty similar

-mmmmmm staffs

-Grian's Watcher form was overall very sleek and rounded (what with the halo and broad wings) while Zed's Watcher form was much more sharp and aggressive (more of an electricity halo, sharper tipped wings, etc)

-Grian and Zed's Watcher designs both subtly represent their relationship with the Watcher's; Grian's was passive-aggressive (hence the smoother design) and Zed's was a lot more straight-up aggression (hence the sharper design)

-abuse tw; won't go into much detail (because i don't want to go down the rabbit-hole of emotional/mental abuse) but Zed's relationship with Ring was a highly toxic one; nothing Zed did was ever good enough for Ring and although Zed was never physically beaten, his confidence was nearly shattered; it's Zed does silly stuff around his friends, because he just wants to please them; also he doesn't take lightly to babying or self-deprecation (even if it's just a joke)

-Zed still loves to go to The End island just to visit the enderdragon (even if it isn't the same one from S5)

-Zed didn't really have a method to escape until the dragon (just gonna call her Jean since that's her name i believe) helped him out because she doesn't like seeing innocent players suffer; Jean didn't help Grian because she didn't believe he had a decent reason to lie and run away from his "friends" (might sound unfair but the situations were vastly different)

-Zed doesn't have any of his Watcher powers since he actually broke connections with them (unlike Grian who just fucking went yEET-)

-Zed was literally terrified when he first met Grian because of the Watcher symbol in his eyes, wings, and obvious purple fire powers; Grian was mortified that Zed was going to blow his cover since he a) had purple eyes which could easily be linked to the Watchers, and b) always seemed strangely jittery around him and never made proper eye contact
