Hermitcraft S7 Shenanigans

some S6 and S7 differences

this is based off canon but mainly headcanons btw

-the big difference about S7 is that everyone's a lot more divided; after the Civil War, the S6 community grew really close and hung out in big groups more often (also Demise lol); in S7, everyone seems to be sticking to their own little groups or working by themselves; there've also been a lot of arguments and fighting this season that some of the hermits have noticed and grown concerned about

-gonna go over some main changes in terms of character for the hermits (again, these are headcanons also i literally dont watch hermitcraft so go easy on me if i get shit wrong ^^') also buckle up for some hella long rambling

-first up is Cub because im very eager to talk about him; during S7 he's grown colder and more detached, especially from Scar; he basically avoids Scar in any way he can and has grown a lot of distaste for the jungle; he's always been a salty towards Grian (because he's overprotective of Scar) but he's definitely pissed off at Grian just, forever; he's used the headgames as a way to uh, exact revenge on Scar you could say; he feels betrayed and a bit lied to, considering the fact Scar didn't even tell him he was leaving; he has a tendency to jump to conclusions which doesn't help with this whole situation with Scar

-next up Scar because im also eager to talk about him; he hasn't changed too much except for the whole Cub thing; any time he's around Cub, he tries to reach out and talk with him but Cub either shoots it down real fast or uses very short choppy sentences; he's grown a lot closer to Grian this season (platonically because personally i don't ship it) and the two tend to hang out a lot; the jungle magic has gone a bit to his head example a, him selling literal drugs

-my gal Cleo; also hasn't changed that much except regarding the headgames; she's like 20x more cryptic and a bit more sadistic; a bitch about making deals with (altho tbh this is like 50% of the hermits anyways); the spider head is a spider mask that she wears to terrify everyone (but half the time it's up off her face); "i will break your legs" god i loved the passive-aggressiveness from that whole scene, it's something you don't really see with the hermits

-Doc, the mad man; at the beginning of the season he tried to hold his temper but BDubs but lately it's just completely snapped, especially after he blew up his goat; back in S6 he was just threatening but now he's like straight up aggressive; you can bet your ass he's pulled out a sword on multiple people and has definitely just flat-out stabbed BDubs several times; he's never slapped BDubs tho (because that's obviously too harsh ya'll)

-BDubs, our resident angry potato (he'd probs get along with aphmau now that i think about it lol); he's gotten A LOT more short tempered in S7 and isn't afraid to jump straight into a fight; he's got a lot of bruises and cuts from fighting with Doc (yes they do physically fight it's them what do you expect); he's gotten more protective of Keralis and always sticks up for him, especially if it's Doc

-Keralis because fuck yeah i have angst about this man; in S7 he's more skittish, no particular reason except for dOC AND BDUBS; he gets really stressed out and overwhelmed whenever he sees the two fighting and he always tries to pull BDubs away before it gets too bad; purest angel and im so sorry for making you suffer my dear; he slapped Doc once

-Grian the bastard; he's calmed down even more this season; he kinda loves the jungle because it freed him from the Watchers but also kinda hates it because it kinda drove Mumbo insane; he doesn't like what Mumbo's become but he still does things like the hermit challenges in hopes he can get the Mumbo he knows back; this bitch still hasn't told anyone about the whole Watcher thing and ain't planning on it anytime soon

-Mumbo aka the man who fucking snapped this season like holy shit; not much to explain, he snapped; the jungle affected him and he went a little off the rails (just a wee bit); he's not violent or mean or anything, just unhinged; basically no one but Grian is concerned about him; ya'll have you seen his mcfucking base because hot damn

-Tango, the man himself; hasn't really changed much except for becoming a bit more worried over Zed and Impulse regarding the headgames; Zed is in the headgames (i think) so it's always concerning for Tango to see the beheadment scar on his neck; he's worried about Impulse because wtf is this man even doing he's literally pulling a black-market deal with False

-in terms of big personality changes, that's it but wait i still have more rambles

-Keralis often seeks out Xisuma for comfort if BDubs and Doc get really heated and he can't deal with it; Xisuma helps him by talking it out and usually watching a movie and snuggling; Xisuma feels really bad for Keralis but he knows it's not his place to step in with this (but he has given both Doc and BDubs a fair warning to cool it)

-Scar and Cub both really miss each other, they just have different ways of coping (neither of which involve seeking the other out because we smart); Cub's trying to move on and distance himself from Scar, start a new page and all; Scar feels heartbroken and guilty so he seeks comfort in Grian

-Cleo's become more of a sadist than she kinda already was and everyone's scared of her, even if they aren't willing to admit it (cough BDubs cough False)

-Iskall is the only jungle hermit to not really get corrupted by the jungle but that's also because he kinda lives on the edge of it; he's still bound to the jungle, hence the green eye crystal thing and vine powers, but his powers are much tamer compared to everyone else's; he's quite wary of the jungle and definitely doesn't like what Mumbo's become (he's worried, that's all)

-thing is, you'd think that everyone would be worried with all the havoc going on and the personality changes, but this is pretty normal; every server switch, it's just a fact that people change; Grian was very concerned since he'd never been through a server switch but people reassured that this is normal (altho he's still nervous about it)

-no one's really sure what Doc and BDubs' relationship is but the two never seem to complain too harshly behind the other's back so everyone kinda leaves it (except Keralis who gets kinda forced into it); Xisuma's stepped in a few times already, mainly for Keralis' sake after he's come to the admin's house in literal tears, and warned them to fucking chill out but it really hasn't worked

-the headgames have made a lot of relationships shaky, and that's all i'll say (fornow-)

hell yeah i made this entire season really angsty already, fuck you (sorry it's like 2 am and im quite out of it)

people ask me 'damn how do you have so many chapters, S7's barely started' and i just *gestures to this entire chapter* i have a lot of thoughts (ifshebreathesshe'satHOTTTT-)
