   ~*~

Keralis groaned exasperatedly, pacing around and absentmindedly spinning his bow in his hand. BDubs and him had only meant to go out on a shopping trip and what happened? They ran into Doc of course.

"What do you mean I can't fight you?!" BDubs yelled, glowering up at the creeper hybrid.

"Cause you're a shrimp," Doc replied, ruffling his hair and sneering at him. "And a shrimp like you doesn't stand a chance against a creeper like me."

"Get the hell off me!" BDubs growled, shoving his hand away from him and whipping out his sword. "Why do you have to bug me so much?! Mind your own damn business will you?"

"Bubbles we should go," Keralis murmured, stepping forward to tug on his arm.

BDubs yanked his arm away, still glaring up at Doc. "We can't leave yet! I'm not letting Doc think we're cowards!"

Doc laughed, smirking and showing his unnaturally sharp teeth. "Why don't you listen to your boyfriend?" he taunted. "Run off into the sunset with him and avoid your troubles."

"No way! I face things like a man!"

"Sure you do."

This went on like this for a while and Keralis was honestly starting to loose his patience. Their yelling filled the shopping district and especially when Doc started yelling back, Keralis was getting nervous.

"G-Guys?" he said, his voice barely a whisper, but neither of them heard him. "Guys?"

"Stay out of this Keralis," BDubs snapped, not noticing his sharp tone.

He was starting to debate whether he should just run, but he didn't want to leave BDubs. Or Doc for that matter.

"Why don't you just leave!" BDubs growled, slashing out with his sword. The tip skimmed Doc's cheek, drawing out a sliver of blood, and the creeper hybrid let out a low hiss.

"Guys seriously stop!" Keralis cried, clenching his bow and trying desperately not to yell.

"Yeah BDubs," Doc sneered, swiping at him with his gleaming sword. "Why don't you just back down now and we'll all move on, knowing I'm the winner here."

"Shut your trap Doc!" BDubs slashed at him wildly and Doc brought up his own sword to block it, the metals loudly clanging against each other. "I'm just as good as you and you know it!"

"Yeah right!" Doc grew back his sword and swiftly slammed it against BDubs', the force knocking it from his hand and making it clatter on the floor. BDubs huffed and immediately grabbed the axe from inventory, barely having time to deflect a blow from Doc.

"Keralis!" BDubs called, digging his heels into the ground to push Doc back. "I need my sword!"

Keralis didn't respond.

"Keralis?" BDubs glanced over at Keralis and his aggravated expression immediately dissolved into one of concern. Keralis' head was ducked and looking down at the ground, the hand holding his bow shaking and the wood splintering slightly.

He suddenly looked up, his expression cold as ice, and swiftly drew back his bow. He launched an arrow and it narrow passed between BDubs and Doc's faces, the sharp tip brushing their noses.

"I'm done with you two," he said, his normally cheery voice now dangerously low. His eyes showed almost no emotion, except a tiredness that the pair had never seen before. "If you want to keep fucking fighting, then do it. But I'm not dealing with it anymore."

The brunette grabbed his cap and angrily slammed it on the floor, the fabric crumpling and bending. He snatched out a firework and lit it, grimacing at the pair. "I'm leaving," he said, his words like knives cutting through the two's hearts. "And I don't want to hear from either of you for at least a week."

Then he left without another word, rocketing into the sky.

Doc stared up, his eyes wide with horror, and his sword fell with a quiet clatter from his shaking hands. BDubs dropped to the ground, shaking and glistening tears falling from his eyes.

"What did I do...?"
