im watching ColeyDoesThings (great channel you should check her out) and she's going a fanfic tropes vid and holy shit i remembered soulmate AUs and holy fuck a n g s t

-alright so basically, everyone has a mark on the back of their hand (it's on their dominant hand) and their partner(s) have an identical marking, in both shape and color

-there are three main things that people do; actively seek out their soulmate to ya know hook up with them, just go about their daily business and let fate happen, or hide their mark and choose who they want to love

-just gonna say yeah the gals don't currently have soulmates that in hermitcraft because jhdksljgfhgdkm i like the gay

-idk what to do for Etho, Beef, xB, and Hypno but like maybe Etho and Beef are soulmates??? also xB's mark is a dark black X and Hypno's is a bright yellow spiral (i cant help but give him a spiral with a name like Hypno-)

-it's not uncommon for people with mismatching marks to date but they usually end up breaking up, sometimes on bad terms sometimes on good

-whilst it is kinda uncommon for soulmates to be platonic, it does happen (this is for the aro peeps! also cough shashy)

-yeah Xisuma's aro in this universe, fight me

-so Shashy and Kerry are soulmates in this AU, both having a dark blue crescent moon, however Kerry and BB are dating

-Bdubs' mark is a black clover, matching Doc's, however BB falls under the category of "hide their mark and choose who they want to love" because he's an indignant brat who says fuck conformity

-btw BB's hand with his mark is wrapped in bandages to cover the mark and he just excuses it as "his mark brings back bad memories" which is just a uh, exaggerated truth

-Xisuma also covers his hand (he always wears gloves) and is fine with BDubs dating Keralis, he's also the only one who knows what BDubs' mark is

-Bdubs so desperately wants to choose his own destiny that he goes out of his way to make his relationship with him as negative as possible; he also goes out of his way to make his and Keralis'

-Grian's sign is a yellowy-orange sun and Mumbo's is black and kinda like the rest music note with a dot on each side kinda like yin yang?? the two dated in S6 and ended up breaking up on a sour note

-Iskall and Mumbo are soulmates and are together

-team ZIT is the longest lasting and probably healthiest relationship, they're also soulmates, and lowkey everyone's jealous of them

-Joe and EX are platonic soulmates, with their mark being a white feather

-sidenote: im sorry joe is like 6'2?? which is about 189 cm??? i refuse to believe this, he is definitely shorter than Cleo (also Cleo is tall fight me)

-update: no he's probably not over 6 foot oh thank god

-Grian's soulmate was Taurtis but uh, he died and Grian's trying to cope (he was one of those "actively seek out their soulmate to hook up with them" people so he suffered)

-fuck it i like soft angsty BDubs

-ya'll up for aro/ace xb?

-Ren's sign is an orange null sign and with him being a big romantic sappy bitch, you can understand how crushed he was when he and Doc broke up (it was on a positive note tho, they're still good friends)

-Scar's mark is a lime green like shine shape?? idk but it's that classic shine shape, and Cub's sign is a dark blue target looking thing; yeah they ended on a bad note-

-Cub covers his mark with gloves and dates whoever

-Scar and Grian are both emotional geeks and yeah they're dating here even if their marks don't match up (it's mainly for emotional support hsjskdjfhgjksl)

-Jevin does have a mark, it matches Cub's, but he covers it with bandages and just dates whoever

-Biffa has a yellow lightning bolt mark and matches Wels and poly UGS did exist but Biffa and Jevin ended up fighting and then Biffa left and yeahhhh...

-Python has a red heart mark on his cheek

-oh yeah ZIT's mark is a light gray cloud
