Chapter 39 "Just Kill Me Already"

It was morning in K'un L'un and Luke was tossing and turning on his bed causing Ava to wake up and sit up. She looks over to Luke and she pushes her hair behind her ears

Ava:Hey Luke, are you awake?*he asked as she moves her legs near her chest with her white tank top underneath and a white bandage wrapped around her scar on her arm, Luke had stopped moving and he sat up and faces back to Ava*

Luke:Hey, I didn't wake you did I?

Ava:Not really, I couldn't sleep...

Luke:Me neither, I'm starting to get a little home sick...

Ava:How are we even going to get back home anyway? And is Danny coming with us? He seems to have a image here to being a young king and all

Luke:He's Danny, he obviously has a public image...speaking of Danny, where is he?*he asked as he looks at Danny's empty bed*

Ava:Let's go find him*Luke stood up as he wore his costume and he looks down at Ava who was glaring up to him expecting her to stand up*Can you leave so I can change?*Luke's eyes widened in realization and he looks away*

Luke:Right, I'll leave early...*he quickly walked out of the room leaving Ava to change into her White Tiger costume that had been sewed on her sleeve of her cut. Ava stood up from the bed as she wore her white tank top and her black underwear then her eyes widened as she sees a female servant walk in as she was wearing her uniform and her casual ponytail*

"Greetings young guest, your friend had told me that you are getting dressed"

Ava:Uh yes I am, that's why I told him to leave...if you don't mind, I like putting my clothes on when there isn't a crowd watching me

"As a servant in the palace, it's my duty to dress every visitor appropriately, starting with your warrior costume"*she spoke gently in her friendly greeting smile*

Ava:N-no thanks!*she quickly declined sounding a bit uncomfortable*I like to wear what I want...

"We wouldn't want you to be hurt visitor, please let me help you"

Ava:What's wrong with me wearing a costume?! Can't I wear what I want in this sexist city?! Doesn't this place know of equal rights?!*she yelled angrily making the woman's eyes to water and she ran out of the room nearly sobbing*Great...I made someone cry

Luke was looking down to a training area with the sun over them as he holds his glasses, he was watching Danny fight with two other men with long sticks as a weapon and a small dagger. He was watching Danny train and notices something shine under the sun from under Danny's neck, he looks at Danny curiously then he sees Ava step beside him in her White Tiger suit with her mask in hand. He looks at her in concern as she had a quiet and guilty expression of her face

Luke:What's wrong?

Ava:I made a servant cry...like all I did was call the city sexist since she says that I would get "hurt" if I wear my costume, don't know why she became so touchy about it...

Luke:This is a place of tradition Ava, maybe you should respect it

Ava:I know that. It just bothers me how men sees women as fragile people who can't learn how to knock a person out, like we have equal rights in New York, why not this place?
