Chapter 64 "Candle"

Peter and Danny were sitting on a chair facing a huge computer screen with a past recording of the destroyed camera that faced the lab room. Ward was standing beside Danny as he presses the play button and the video had began playing. The lab doors were lit up with white lights over it and waited a few seconds for a fully black clothed person that was dressed as a ninja. A familiar one in Danny's eyes. The person had reached into his back pocket and had threw a small dagger into the camera screen making it turn black. Peter glances at Danny who looked surprisingly calm with his usual poker face and he slightly tilted his head down with his arms crossed.

Danny:Is that all?

Ward:We couldn't find the weapon that he threw to the camera so he must have collected it when he attempted to leave

Danny:This was weeks ago and you're barely telling me this now, why is that?

Ward:Our scientists didn't noticed until one of them noticed the screen of the camera shattered

Danny:They just noticed?
*he glanced at Ward with a small glare that made Ward cough and clear his throat*

Ward:Well yes...the glass that fell to the floor were picked up by the ninja too...and since you're in experience with some ninja stuff...I expected you know who the person is so do you?

Danny:...I'll handle this privately

Peter:Are you sure you don't need my help? Your fists aren't working at the moment

Danny:I can handle this myself

Peter:Danny! That was clearly a ninja who can beat your ass now that you lost your arms
*he yelled at him coldly with his eyebrows lowered while having eye contact with Danny's cold and stern eyes who just turned away and stood up from the chair*

Danny:I don't need you for this case Peter, I can handle it myself...I'll be back in my office and think of something so you can go back home

Peter:So you're kicking me out again?

Danny:I'm not kicking you out

Peter:Yes you are! Just admit that you want me to protect you and be your arms

Danny:...that was a horrible choice of words, and no. You're not coming with me

Peter:The more you're saying 'no', the more reason why I should go with you

Danny:Peter you're not going

Peter:Then what are you hiding that you don't want me to know by going with you?
*he asked while pushing Danny to speak from his odd behavior making him irritated*

Danny:Parker!
*he yelled out his name that made Peter slightly jump and his eyes pupils trembled, he was silent as Danny had began speaking in a softer and apologetic tone*
...just let me deal with this alone for once...it's a family matter and you shouldn't get into my business like this
*Peter was still quiet from Danny's sudden raise of voice then he blinked back to normal. He clenches his fists and had walked past him as he spoke sincerely*

Peter:Fine. Now you know how I felt being held down a lot by you
*Danny slightly widened his eyes and calls out his name in a soft tone then without realizing it; Peter quickly grabs Danny's wrist before grabbing his hand in response of his spider sense going off at that moment*
