After much preparation, discussions, and fanfare, Kyla and the others embark on their journey into Johto. Accompanying Kyla on the yacht is David, Blare, Clare, Deanna, Sam, Josh, and Heng. As the ship departs from the Oblivia port, Jack, Dan, Chad, Matty, Virginia, Ivory, and Ebony wave goodbye.

"Remember, if you need me just call my sister!" Ebony yells.

Ivory waves her hands indicating not to call.

"See you at the tournament!" Matty cheers happily.

Jack hold out a balled fist. "And may the best trainer win!"

"I intend to!" Sam climes back.

The ship makes its turn north and speeds off.

As everyone gets set in, Blare begins organizing her items. Deanna can't help but peer over her shoulder, eyeing the bulk of items.

"What is that?!" Deanna asks, pointing to a yellow spray bottle.

"An antidote. It relieves in status effects on your Pokemon." Blare replies.

Kyla strolls by just in time to overhear the conversation.

"Why do you have so much stuff?" Deanna asks.

Blare turns to look at Deanna. "I got all this from the Pokemon League."

Kyla stops. "No way! You saved all that stuff too?!"

Blare smiles and nods. "I didn't have a lot of use for them back on the island, so I just stored them away for a moment like this."

"All of it?!" Kyla asks.

"Yep!" Blare replies. "Did you save them too?"

"Hell yeah!" I didn't use a single one in Kanto. In fact, I don't think I even took them with me." Kyla says, with a nervous laugh.

"Then.. what did you do when you needed potions?" Blare asks.

Kyla crosses her arms. "I just bought as I went. Honestly, Chaz took care of the first few gyms with ease."

"No way! Do you expect me to believe you took on the water gym with a fire type?" Blare looks skeptical.

Kyla laughs, more nervously than before. "I actually had to pay for damages on that one. Chaz evaporated the water in their pool, making the majority of their Pokemon unable to battle."

"And the rock gym?" Blare asks.

Kyla puts her hand on her hip. "Chaz has dealt with worse Pokemon than a simple Onix."

Blare sighs. "You were just too overpowered for Kanto... You could have given them a little fighting chance."

Kyla laughs. "Not a chance! They all thought I was just some fresh spring Pidgey. It wasn't until the electric gym that I really got pissed off."

Blare puts her hand over her face. "Oh God, what happened?"

Kyla crosses her arms again. "Lieutenant Surge... what a disrespectful, moron.. He laughed as I walked in and called me a little girl. He then began casting doubts on my ability to defeat him in a simple arm wrestling match."

"You didn't?!" Blare gasps.

"Oh! I did!" Kyla huffs. "He could barely throw his Pokeball after that."

Blare shakes her head. "Your level of hardcore is only rivaled by your looks and brain."

Kyla laughs. "Thanks.. I think!" Kyla looks around at the students, that are now slake jawed in awe. "Do you all have our numbers?"
