Zivah's POV

I roamed in the front garden waiting for Ved who said he will be picking me up at sharp 11 in the morning. It's been 20 minutes past already and I'm still here wandering hoping he will show up soon.

I was so excited about this whole thing that I put some extra effort into my look. I did my hair, put on my contact lenses, wore this knee-length floral summer dress pairing it with a loose white t-shirt, accessorized my look wearing earrings, gold double layered pendant necklace and multilayered bracelets, all which I borrowed from Alizeh and what not! I did feel I overdid it but now there's no way I can change the look. It's already late and he's not here. I let out a sigh looking at my watch once again.

Just when I saw his SUV making way through the front gate to the porch. He pulled over and honked the car horn. I walked towards his car only to give him an annoyed look. Ved got off the car looking ever so dashing as he put off his goggles. He took a box in his hands from the passenger's seat and closed the door shut with his back. He made his way towards me with his infectious big smile.

"I thought I might have just been happy looking around my own house today," I said with sarcasm visible in my voice. Ved chuckled a little.

"By the way, what is this?" I asked moving my gaze to the box in his hand. It was big and I was curious.

"This," He said showing me the box, "This took extra 30 minutes."

"Is it for me?" I asked with a smile. I love surprises to be very honest. Ved shrugged his shoulders looking at the house. I followed his gaze not finding anything. He looked back at meeting my eyes.

"Nope," he said casually, "For Alizeh."

"VED!" I shouted at him going a little forward. A big frown made it's way to my face, "I'll kill you." Ved let out a hearty laugh looking right back at me.

"Of course, it's for you, Darling." He said winking at me. I smiled again.

"Put it here," I said pointing at the bench.

"Yes ma'am, as you say." He said following me and putting it down. He stood straight looking at me with curious eyes.

"I'm opening," I said. Ved smirked looking at me.

"Here?" He asked gaining a punch from me. He whined a little as I gave him a disgusted look.

"D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G," I said pressing every word of it. Ved made an apologetic face while the smile on his face never left.

"Alright, go ahead." He said rubbing his arm where I punched hard. I opened the wrapping gently. The box was huge. I still couldn't figure out what was inside.

I opened the box hurriedly and got stunned. It was so freaking beautiful. I always wanted one for myself.

"What the fuck!" The words left my mouth involuntarily, "Are you..." I said stopping in middle. I picked up the vintage typewriter looking at it with my eyes full of love.

"Omg, Ved!" I said ignoring his presence and giving my all attention to this beauty, "It's so..."

"I don't know what to say," I said genuinely. I was touched will be an understatement because I don't know what I was feeling right at the moment. As a person who loves to write, I always wanted a typewriter but never really bothered much. I did most of my writing on my laptop or my special notebooks because they were more convenient for me. But now the thought of writing in typewriter added more excitement to my passion for writing a book.

"You like it right?" Ved asked after a few moments. I looked at him with my eyes a little moist with a lot of happiness.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I said a little aloud. "It's beautiful!" I finished dramatically looking at the typewriter yet again.
