Zivah's POV

I yawned opening my mouth fully without covering. Ahil gave me a disgusted look from the side.

"Will you behave?" He whispered. I gave him a big smile.

"I have no idea as to why we are here," I said in a low voice as some dude spoke something related to how companies need to go eco friendly to decrease the pollution.

We were at a conference held at some 5-star hotel. I knew all the companies taking part in this as I have basically grown up with a business background so I have learned everything about them in early stages only.

We had business magazines and papers in the house and it was mandatory for all of us cousins to read them as we are basically the future.

"Because..." Ahil said moving in his seat, " This is important to understand as well."

I rolled my eyes hearing him. I adjusted my nearly styled ponytail.

"I'm a programmer. How is this in any way important to me?" I asked as the lights went on. Everyone started clapping.

That dude gave a half-smile and started his concluding speech as a few more people joined him on stage.

"I would love if he teaches me some new exciting technology to reduce the pollution," I said looking at Ahil as I adjusted my specs.

"That you have to figure out on your own, Ms. Chandra," Ahil said in a business tone making me roll my eyes again.

"Anyway let's go." He said as people started moving from there seats when the lecture got over, "You distracted me big time."

I frowned hearing Ahil but didn't say anything. We came outside in the corridor. The view in front gave me chills, it made me excited.

All the people with files in their hands, an ID around their neck, with those serious faces were discussing something in groups. All were well dressed, mostly in shirt, pant, blazer. Some girls or women had Indian attires like Salwar Kameez or Sari.

I chose this white shirt with black stripes on it pairing it with a black blazer and black pants for me. To go with it I wore high heels, watch, on one hand, specs, and finally, my company ID which was right now my identity in this corporate world. I combed my hair tightly into a pony as that is a basic ethic of this world. You have to be neat and clean to make your first impression as you won't be getting a second chance.

I usually keep my IDs and at least one pair of formals with me no matter where I go as I have been told to since I was in college. But whatever, a few of the things my parents forced me to do were actually good and helped me in some or other way, like today.

Now I think, how much I missed this. Attending conferences, presenting my projects, handling team, making reports, writing code, solving those errors which would make your brain file corrupt, those sleepless nights thinking about what logic to use to get a certain output, and much much more. I can't wait to go back!!!

A big smile formed on my face which I didn't even realize.

"It's nice to see you here, Mr. Ibrahim." A middle-aged man came and extended his hand for Ahil. He took it happily.
