Same day, Afternoon, Health and Care Hospital

As Nandini came out of the OT after a successful surgery she was met with few adults.

It was case of an old man who got a stroke all of the sudden. She assumed them to be his children and grandchildren.

As they ran to her, she explained them the operation was successful and they can meet the patient when he gains conscious.

Assuring them she moved to her cabin and looked at the time. She was free today. No appointments and no surgeries.

She looked at her and suddenly she remembered about Manik's trip. Her mood went completely off.

She sighed and than walked to the owner, Mrs.Mishra's Cabin.

Mrs.Mishra's Cabin

After getting permission to enter, Nandini stepped inside. Mrs.Mishra was a lady in her early fifties but still beautiful and charming with a warm heart.

She loved Nandini like her own daughter and even knew about Abhimanyu, her brother.

Mrs.Mishra: (smiling) Dr.Nandini! How are you?

Nandini: (small smile) I am fine Ma'am. Actually I am done with my work for today. Can I go home early?

Mrs.Mishra smiled and nodded her head.

Mrs.Mishra: Ofcourse Child, you can go.

Nandini: Thank you Ma'am

Mrs.Mishra nodded and Nandini stood up to leave but stopped as Mrs.Mishra asked her.

Mrs.Mishra: How is your husband and In-laws?

Nandini: They are good Ma'am.

Mrs.Mishra picked up a file kept there and read it for a moment before looking up.

Mrs.Mishra: Ah Nandini, You have no sugery and appointment for five days.

Nandini's eyes twinkled but than sadness again took over the happiness. It just few days she joined. How can she ask for a week leave.

Mrs.Mishra: What happened Nandini? Any problem?

Nandini: (looking down) Actually Ma'am, Manik is going London for a week so I was thinking ke..

She stopped and Mrs.Mishra smiled.

Mrs.Mishra: You can call it a coincidence Nandini but you are free. Dr.Agnihotri will manage your appointments for two days. You can go.

Nandini: But how can I?

Mrs.Mishra: Nandini, Don't you remember how many leaves Dr.Agnihotri took when he was married four months back? He took almost a month's leave and you handled all his patients.

Nandini smiled getting the fact and Mrs.Mishra too smiled seeing this.

Mrs.Mishra: and I would really suggest you to come to hospital only when needed. No need to spend all the day here.

Nandini: Really Can I?

Mrs.Mishra nodded and Nandini jumped in happiness but than controlled herself.

Nandini: Thankyou so much, Ma'am. I will take your leave now.

Mrs.Mishra nodded and Nandini left her Cabin. Picking up her belongings from her cabin she moved to the receptionist and told her about leaving.

Coming out she first called Niyonika's number.
