Y/n sat in the auditorium with Santana after her breakdown in silence. After her brother's passing Y/n hadn't spoken at all, Santana had been there for her the entire time as a shoulder to cry on.

After Kurt had come in and made Santana read her little speech about Finn and left, Y/n looked through her bag and pulled out Finn's Varsity jacket and looked at it for a little while. She slowly looked to her friend and smiled softly before moving closer to her and laying the jacket over her shoulders.

Santana looked at Y/n with sad yet confused eyes before looking at the jacket and realising what it was. "Y/n... i can't take this from you" Y/n shook her head with a soft smile, telling her friend it was ok. Santana gave the girl a teary smile before laying her head on her shoulder.

"Thanks Y/n..." "your welcome san.." Santana smiled again, knowing that she was helping her friend to get a little better. "Have you got a song prepared for him?" Y/n nodded

"Can I just sing it to you?.. I cant do it in front of everyone without wanting to run away like you did" Y/n joked softly, getting a poke to the side from Santana but was given a nod.

She stood up and took a breath

Santana watched the girl intently as she remained sat in front of her

Santana began to tear up, hearing the pain in her voice. She saw sad that she couldn't take the pain away.

Y/n began to sob, dropping to her knees with a crash. Santana rushed to her friend and held her close, whispering softly into her ear and rubbing her hair. Looking to the side, Santana saw the entire club standing there with tears in their eyes or rushing down their faces.
