Fred and George were already up and downstairs having breakfast by the time Lyra had risen from bed. They cheered loudly as she entered the kitchen much to everyone else's dismay.
"There she is!" George said as she slid into an open seat.
"Good morning." She yawned.
"You excited for today? All packed and ready to go?"
Ginny looked up from her breakfast "where are you going?"
"We're going to Lyra's house for a couple of days," Fred said matter of factly.
Lyra raised an eyebrow "Are you?"
He grinned at her wickedly "Of course unless you wanted to back out your end of the deal?"
She narrowed her eyes "No need to threaten me, Weasley, I told George weeks ago he could invite you."
Ginny shook her head. "Honestly I wonder why she puts up with you two."
Fred and George put on their best deeply offended act.
"Why Ginny, I don't have the slightest idea what you mean," Fred said.
"Lyra absolutely adores us, don't you love?"
"Honestly, it depends on the day." Lyra teased causing Ron to snort into his milk.
"Oh please." Fred said, "You'd be bored out of your mind without us. Before us your highlight of the week was probably reading."
"How do you know it's not still the highlight of my week?"
"Because now you've got my brother to-"
Lyra narrowed her eyes, the mood in the room shifted and crackled with electricity. George quickly cut his brother off by kicking him under the table.
"Alright, you two. No fighting at breakfast. Save it for after lunch at least."
They finished eating and helped Lyra pack her things. The twins seemed excited, but worry lingered in Lyra's heart.
"What's wrong Love?" George asked as he slung her packed bag over his shoulder.
She bit her lip. "Do you really think everyone will be fine? I mean your dad is still sick..."
"Stone you worry to much. Of course they will be fine. What good are we here anyway?"
She sighed, "true, I just worry if something happens-"
"If something happens then they know right where to find us, and we'll be home again quickly."
"You're right of course. I just worry."
"The world won't end just because you take a week off. Let's go spend some time with your parents."
"Plus," Fred added, "It'll be a blast getting to make fun of all the muggle things you do."
She smirked. "let's see how you fare in the muggle world, Weasley."
It was snowing outside as they landed in the woods behind Lyra's home. It was a strange instant quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of London.
"You alright?" George asked, "All in one piece still?"
"Surprisingly I don't get nearly as dizzy when I have a fair warning." She teased.
"Yeah yeah," Fred cut in "Let's head inside I'm freezing my arse off here."
They walked from the woods hopping Lyra's backyard gate and heading to the back door. She knocked and jiggled the lock. There was the sound of foot steps and soon her father appeared in the kitchen he came over to the door unlocking it and letting them in.
