"What is it sunshine?"
"You sure you'll be fine for the trip?" Sunwoo looked over at me, asking the same question for the hundredth time. "How many times do I have to tell you- I'll be fine I'm not a baby, you know." I looked back at him as he shrugged.
"I don't know but you're preettttyy clumsy."
"Doesn't that make the both of us?"
"Well yeah- but you're gonna be alone without burrito number two and whO knows what might happen?"
"Burrito number one is definitely gonna be okay so don't you worry child- focus on your recovery if you really care about me."
"Fine then"
Sunwoo's mother walked in with a plate of watermelon. "Watermelon?" My eyes lit up as I quickly stood up from the bed, grabbing one for Sunwoo who was currently on his chair, then another one for me.
"Thanks, mom."
"Thank you, auntie!" I smiled before biting on the watermelon. "Welcome kiddos, Sunwoo don't forget to drink your medicine later on." She chuckled before walking out of the room, leaving the plate of watermelons behind.
"Oh yeah, how's helping Hyunjin been?" Sunwoo spoke with his mouth almost full. "It's fine, I guess- I don't really know if I'm helping or not, but I'm trying my best. I hope this trip would really be effective."
"I'm sure it will. You'll find a way." He smiled then changed an expression to a surprised one. "Wait! Seunghee look at this." He snickered before spitting out a seed above him, allowing it to land on his face.
Sunwoo then faced me after one stuck on his right cheeks. "You definitely will help that young man out, my child." He impressed a mother or aunt-like voice, causing us to burst into laughter.
"Ah you dork, your mole looks quite good on you mother." I let out a muffled giggle, shaking my head. "Gee, you don't even seem like you're sick at all but when I touch you, you're burning hot, my poor baby." I pouted.
Sunwoo looked at me in a cringing manner. "Not the baby- you're only older than me by a month for your information-." I shrugged, smiling. "Still my baby."
"That's my baby, Seunghee." His mom interrupted. "Okay, maybe my baby brother then." I chuckled after finishing my watermelon, checking the clock. "Oh right I gotta go for work soon, I'll be working overtime today so I can go for the trip next week." I stood up.
"Goodluck! Take care." Sunwoo carefully stood up with the blanket around him, approaching me as I ruffled his hair. "You should get lots of rest hm? You better be fever-free after this week!"
He nodded. "Yeah yeah. I promise! Take care at the trip too." He smiled as I walked towards my aunt. "Take care Seunghee, don't overwork yourself so much hm?"
"Don't worry, I hope you take care too aunt! Stay healthy." I replied with a smile before finally bidding them goodbye by the door, walking out.
2:33 am
I rolled to the other side of my bed with a groan, opening my phone to scroll on insta for a while as I gave up on sleep. "Oh? Hyunjin's active.."
