Chapter 58: I have a headache

I opened my eyes before I was suddenly pinned down unable to move

Fred's POV

"Let her breathe" I hissed at Percy

"We don't know who this person is! You told me about Polyjuice potion!"

"But how is this person supposed to answer if they aren't able to breathe"

"Sorry Fred! I guess I was just overprotective" Percy apologized and let go of her

"Fred? Is that you?" she asked

"It is! If you can hear tell me something only you would know!"

"You..." she slowly her eyes again "Remember when I only talked to you because Angelina wrote to me" she laughed and before I could say anything, I hugged her

"You're alive...."

"Well yes!" she said "What happened?"

"I...you...well...uhm!" I wasn't able say anything

"It is over! We won!" Katie explained "How are you feeling?"

" but otherwise I am alright!" she explained

"We will get you some water!" George said and suddenly everyone left

"You never took the ring off, did you?" she chuckled

"Never! I was so worried about you I thought that you were..."

"That I was what?" she asked confused

"I wanted to find during the battle but when I did it wasn't like I expected!" I tried to explain

"Like what?

"I found you, but you weren't breathing and you had no pulse! Actually it wasn't you we think-"

"Wait! You are moving too fast! How was I not me?"

"Sorry! You know Katie found you like the actual you and next to was a bottle with Polyjuice potion, so we believe that the person I found wasn't you but a death eater who used Polyjuice potion to look like you!" I explained "Do you remember anything?"

"I...uhm..."

"Take your time" I assured her

"The only thing I remember is that there was a sudden pain in my back and that I fell forwards before everything went black" she explained

"OK!" I nodded thoughtfully "So this might actually make sense! I mean it all adds up right? You just told me that you fell forwards but the look-alike I found was lying on their back in the courtyard"

"But how do you know that I am actually me and not someone else?"

"First I wasn't sure because of course it could have also been the false-you but then you told me about Angelina and no one really knows about that and you asked me about the ring and then I was 100% sure!" I explained which made her chuckle

"Why did you want to find me?" she suddenly asked

"What?" I asked confused

"You said that you wanted to find me during battle" I got nervous

"I thought that it was maybe my last chance to tell you something and then I thought I didn't even have a chance"

"OK?! But what did you wanna tell me?"

"That I love you!" I blurted out

"What?!" her eyes widened

"That I-"

"I heard what you said!"

"Oh" I answered waiting for an answer

"I... uhm... I don't know what to say Fred! I mean I am just so surprised I... you asked me if wanted to be friends"

"Yeah, that was kinda stupid" I laughed nervously

"You are waiting for a reaction, aren't you? I just need time to proceed this! One day you come to apologize to me after more than a year, then you want to be friends and now this! I mean to be honest I always felt like there was something between us but I am just scared to get hurt again"

"I know"

"But then again I saw that you never took this ring off and it made me believe that maybe you changed"

"I don't want to justify any of my behaviour, but I feel awful every day!" I tried to explain

"And I believe you" she told me

"You do?" I asked in disbelief

"I see the regret in your eyes and I kinda believe that you changed"

"So?"

"So I might give you one last chance because I can't deny feelings can I?" she laughed

"Really?" I still couldn't believe any of this

But I started to realise everything when her lips gently touched mine
