Chapter 45: Stupefy!

I decided to go outside to watch the sunset again.

I just couldn't get this stupid letter out of my mind. Why doesn't Bill just tell what he knows? I mean I know that there is something.

"We used to come here every summer to visit my aunt, but we stopped for a reason I still don't know" a voice came from the left and I turned to my side to see....

Fred?!

I wasn't able to do anything or say anything!

He sat down next to me on the sand

"The sunsets are beautiful here, but you probably already realised" he continued

"They are but why are you here?" I asked confused deciding to not be rude

"I wanted to talk! Like properly!" he started "You probably think that I am a disgusting piece of sh*t after everything that happened! But I didn't know what I was doing half of time! You remember when I screamed at you the time you were at our flat with Emily?" I nodded still furious but listening "I didn't know what to do and... and I panicked" he tried to explain while going through his messy hair "And the kiss with Emily... I don't know how to explain that! We were all drunk and when she kissed me I... I just... there was all this adrenaline and for a few seconds I forget everything! I know that it is not an explanation, but I just needed to tell you all of this" he moved his ring around with his fingers nervously

"You still wear it?" I asked

"I never took it off! I felt too ashamed to! I replay the memories sometimes" he told me "It might sound weird but" he didn't finish his sentence probably not coming up with someting

"Why did you never write back?" I asked after a silent moment

"What do you mean?" he asked me confused

"You never answered our mirror thing, so I wrote you a letter and you never answered! You only wrote me when it was already too late and the damage was already done" I explained

"You wrote me?" he asked confused "Well you know how messy my dorm was and before opening the shop it looked much worse! I searched for the mirror a ton sh*t of time but when I found it, it was broken. And for the letter. It probably disappeared between all the paperwork. I know this still doesn't explain anything"

"No, it doesn't! Honestly I already gave you a second chance and you screwed up!" I told him "And maybe I ribbed the letter apart that you wrote when I was in Hogwarts but it is not like you didn't have any other chances" I got up ready to leave because this wasn't going anywhere when he grabbed me by my wrist

"Do you know that it was me that took you here?" he asked

"I do and thank you for that, but that letter was creepy" I told him now looking down on him because I was standing

"I thought my signature was washed away" he told me confused

"Oh yeah I guess it was kinda obvious even though I wasn't sure" I told him "Wait how do you know? So, Bill knew and he didn't say anything"

"You really are a Ravenclaw Y/N!" it as weird to hear him say my name for some reason "And yes Bill wrote me and told me that I sound like a stalker and George told me to get my sh*t together and talk to you seconds before the letter arrived" he told me "I thought it was worth a shot and maybe you would forgive me" he continued his voice sounding disappointed and huis face dropping.

"I do believe that people make mistake and learn from them, but I will never really forgive you! Also, you know that we can't just back to where we left and we will never be able to" I told him

"You sound like a philosopher you know that" he joked but his face went serious after he continued "So, you will never forgive me? Does this mean that this was useless" he nearly started crying and it was weird to see him like that

"It wasn't useless Fred!" I told him and he looked at me "You told me how much you regret your mistakes and even though I will never be able to forgive you completely I may not be angry at you anymore"

"Really" his face lit up

"Well, I will always be a little angry with you" I smiled while offering him my hand to get up. He took it and was now standing next to "But you have to learn your lesson first before I think about if I want to talk to you"

"Wait what?" he looked at me when I took out my wand

"Stupefy!" I pointed my wand at him and before he could react, he flew back into the water "You deserve that WEASLEY!" I screamed at him.

I just realised that my heart took over. And also, that he really suffered from his mistake. Maybe I still have feelings for him but if I forgive him completely, he may go back to his old behaviour and I can't possibly give him a third chance anyway.

He got out of the water rather quickly and my moment with me and my thoughts was destroyed.

"I guess I deserve this" he laughed "So you aren't angry with me anymore?" he asked

"Still a little but not as much as I used to" I told him

"This deserve a big hug" he told but I started to run

"No, it doesn't! You just want revenge" I turned around while running just to realise that he wasn't behind just before I bumped into someone and two wet arms were wrapped around me

"I hate you"

"I know you don't" he laughed.
