REBEKAH'S RETURN, THOUGH a source of happiness, was short lived seeing as none of the family could truly be around one another. After getting back to the compound Marcel had picked Rebekah up, taking her back to his house leaving Klaus, Cullen, and Hope. While it pained Cullen to do so, she knew she would need to send Klaus away. They had been spending too much time together, they were getting too close and soon they would start paying the price.

"You have to stay somewhere else for tonight." Cullen sighs as Klaus places Hope onto her bed, she had slept the entire drive home. "I'll be fine here. Freya should be home any minute and tomorrow you can come back and we can work on getting Elij-"

Cullen wasn't able to finish her sentence as Klaus sent her a glare, cutting her off. "Do not speak his name."

"Klaus, I know you're mad at him. I am too, but once we get him back the pain of knowing that he killed his sister will destroy him. He'll need us." Cullen informs him.

"What my brother needs is his heart ripped from his chest." Klaus snaps. "And if he shows his face anywhere around here I will kill him."

"Okay." Cullen nods, giving up for the night. They would continue their conversation tomorrow. "Find somewhere to stay. Don't kill anyone on the way there. I love you."

Klaus scoffs, placing a quick kiss on Cullen's lips. He was still a bit traumatized from seeing his brother kill his sister. "I love you, too." They both walk out of Hope's room, Cullen watching as Klaus leaves the compound and just as he's almost out of sight she feels a wave of magic wash over her, making her drop to the ground as the world around her turns black.

-

When Cullen wakes up she's still in the compound expect the once low lit room around her is now covered in a dark light as a storm rages outside. "What the hell?" Cullen mutters as she picks herself off the ground. "Klaus? Klaus?"

"You yelling will not get us out of here." Klaus suddenly appears behind her.

"Where are we?" Cullen glances around, eyebrows furrowing when the usual whispers that accompany their meetings don't appear. "What happened?"

"We are in a Chambre de Chasse. It's a magical mental prison designed to resemble our home. But don't worry. There's always a way out... A game or a riddle." Klaus explains, though that did nothing to ease Cullen.

"Hello." A new voice calls causing both Cullen and Klaus to turn, watching as Rebekah walks down the stairs.

"Rebekah." Klaus sighs. Their greeting is cut short when Kol suddenly drops from the sky, landing on a near by couch in nothing but his underwear.

"Bloody hell." Kol jumps up. "My least favorite recurring nightmare."

"Why are we here?" Cullen questions, freezing when she notices Elijah enter the room.

"Oh, great." Klaus whispers, pulling Cullen a bit closer to him.

"I don't know." Rebekah speaks up, glaring at Elijah. "What I wouldn't give to spend just a decade without being dragged into a godforsaken Chambre de Chasse."

"Suppose you were in a board meeting." Klaus comments, trying to ignore Elijah as Kol speeds back into the room, now dressed.

Kol grins sarcastically. "I was waiting for my wife to come home from work. Once again, ripped from complete contentment for... this. Suppose I'll ask the obvious: piss off any witches lately?"

"Actually, my current enemies are a group of hatemongers who see myself, my daughter, and my wife as abominations to the vampire race." Klaus drawls.

"The bigoted undead. That's new." Rebekah mumbles, not really having any time to learn who had kidnapped her. "They must have a witch-for-hire."

"A witch that's spent enough time here to replicate every detail." Kol exclaims, picking up a bottle from the dining room table. "This is Elijah's prized Cheval Blanc."

"The culprit may be closer to home." Freya's voice echos through the room as she joins them as well. Just another normal family gathering. "A witch who knows the compound well and who doesn't trust you to stay away from Elijah. Someone who would risk everything to save New Orleans from plagues."

"Vincent." Klaus guesses.

"On the bright side, he'd never harm Hope. You, on the other hand, I expect he'll be shipping your bodies to the four corners of the world." Freya glances towards her siblings.

Before any of them can speak a sudden noise from the courtyard turns their attention causing them to walk to the other room, stopping when they see a white door with locks that each hold the first letter of their names. "This wasn't here before. What is it?" Elijah questions, finally speaking up.

Kol walks forward, grabbing ahold of his lock. "It's representational magic. I expect there are keys, one for each of us, hidden somewhere meaningful. Somewhere connected to who we are."

"And for those of us who don't remember who we are?" Elijah continues.

"Guess you'll just be stuck here." Cullen snaps, glaring at the man.

"Door won't open unless all five locks are released." Freya cuts in. "The only way out is together."

"Split up. We need to turn this place upside down." Klaus commands. "I have a daughter I need to get back to."

-

The group of them search the house, though no one's able to find their key. Cullen decides to search downstairs for a bit, walking down just in time to watch as Klaus angrily begins to destroy the Mikaelson crest hanging on the wall.

"Nik, it's done." Rebekah calls, stopping him.

"Have we established that there's no key in the crest?" Cullen questions, making her presences known.

Klaus shrugs. "The thing was a relic anyway."

A sudden gust of wind causes them to shield their faces as a body drops in the courtyard. "Marcel." Rebekah's eyes widen, not having expected to see her husband.

"Damn it!" Marcel shouts, jumping up from the ground. "I got to go now."

"Hey!" Klaus raises his voice, grabbing ahold of Marcel. "What game is Vincent playing?"

"Oh, this has nothing to do with Vincent." Marcel shakes his head. "We got to get out of here. The city is about to wash away. She's out of her damn mind."

"Who, Marcel?" Klaus yells. "Who put you here?"

"It was Hope. Hope is responsible for all of this." Marcel states causing Cullen's eyes to widen. "Ivy was telling Vincent and me all about the latest prophecy when a hurricane showed up off the coast out of nowhere."

"A monsoon from the water is the final curse before the firstborns die." Freya tells them.

"After Rebekah dropped I went to go find you guys." Marcel begins. "When I got to the compound you two were down and Hope was gone. I went out to look for her and I found her at St. Anne's. She had Klaus, Cullen, and Elijah's bodies laid out on the floor. She's gathering up all of you to take back the power that's been split up inside of you."

"No." Cullen breathes out. "If she takes all of that power I can't be around."

Klaus nods, eyes filled with worry as he glances towards Cullen. "She can't do that. It'll destroy her. That was the whole point."

"She threw me in here when I tried to stop her. I can't leave until you guys find your keys." Marcel explains.

"We need to get out of here now." Klaus states. "Hope will take the power back. She'll end the curses, she'll keep the firstborns safe, and then my daughter as we know her will be forever lost to darkness."
