Barrister Babu - Love or Revolution

After entering into the village Devipur  Bondita couldn't control her excitement. Every five mins she was asking som how much time is there to reach her house. Somnath being irritated by constant questions said

Somnath - Boudi! Agar aap baar baar puchegi toh mein Gaadi chala ne mein Dhyaan kaise doon! Baar baar ek hi sawaal puch rhe ho! Agar aisa kiya na toh mein Gaadi ghumake wapas Tulsipur ke liye nikal jaunga. Samjhe!

Bondita made a face. Naina laughed aloud seeing her while Anirudh just rolled his eyes and chuckled.

After 5 mins,

Somnath - lo pahunch gye!

Bondita who was excited couldn't wait more and ran to her house. She was about to enter into the house when maami shouted

Maami - Ohh Kaali Maa! Bondita tujh mein zara si bhi tameez nhi hi na! Jamai babu ghar mein aaye nhi ki tu chali maa se milne! Pehele jamai babu ko aane de, aadar satkar karne de phir jo karna hai karna. Aur waise bhi teri maa toh vidhwa hai, toh vidhwa kisi bhi rasam mein bhaag nahi Lete.

Bondita - koi le yaa na le, meri maa zaroor legi! Aur rhi baat apke jamai babu ki toh woh wahan Gaadi ke paas khade hai jaiyiye, jo karna hai kariye. Mein chali maa se milne.

Bondita was about to enter when Maami dragged her to the car and made her stand beside Anirudh. Aniruddh was back facing her and Bondita stood there giving stern look to Maama Maami. Anirudh when turned was confused to see Bondita there. He asked

Anirudh - Tum yahan?

Bondita - peeche dekhiye!

Anirudh was shocked to see Maama standing there with a garland and Maami with Aarti thaal.

Anirudh - yeh sab kya hai?

Maama- woh jamai jab peheli baar vivah ke baad ghar aate hai toh unka aadar satkar karna rasam hai humara dharm.

Anirudh  was about to protest when Maami started doing  arti and Mama put the garland around Anirudha neck. Anirudh was irritated by this. Not because of the rasam but because of fake behaviour of Maama and Maami.

Bondita who saw this garland in Anirudhs neck, couldn't help but ask - sirf aapke jamai babu ke liye Yeh phoolon ki mala laye hai? Mere liye kyun nhi?

Maami - Bondita tu pagal ho gyi hai kya? Jamai ka pad tere se aur hum sab se upar reheta hai! Unka aadar satkar karna humara dharm hai!

Bondita - par Jab vivaah hota hai toh yeh kaha jaata hai ki Pati Patni ek dusre se alag nhi hote! Ek samaan hote hai! Toh jab vivaah ke samay yeh kaha jaata hai ki woh dono ek hai toh rasmon ke samay alag kyun?

Maami - Haan bhale hi vivaah ke samay kaha gya ho ki pati patni ek samaan hote hai par vivah ke baad sab badal jaata hai! Patni humesha pati ke piche chalti hai! Pati jo kahe woh karn padta hai, chahe woh galat ho yaa sahi! Pati se koi tark kutark karnaa bhi paap hota hai, nazren mila ke baat karna bhi paap hota hai! Humesha nazren jhuki honi chahiye patni ki pati ke samne!

Bondita - mein yeh sab nhi maanti! Bhala jab bhagwaan ne sab Aurton ko bachon ko, aadmiyon aur ladkon ko ek samaan banaya hai toh ladke aage badhte jayein aur Ladkiyaan piche rahein? Yeh kyun? Aap aurat hoke yeh sab sochti hai? Log kehete hai aadmi aurat ko apne kadmon ke niche daaba ke rakhte hai par dekha jaye toh aadmi ki galti nhi hai kyun ki auratein  pairon tale isliye dabi rehti hai kyunki hum auratein un aadmiyon ko dabane dete hai, agar hum log unki soch ko badal denge toh hum Aurton ko bhi unke adhikar mil jayenge.

By now all the villagers had come to see Roy Choudhary's son and his wife. They had come to welcome them but they were shocked to hear what Bondita said. They started whispering among themselves. One of the women started to taunt.
