Connections ~ Qui Gon Jinn

Im also really sorry this took so long:( I wasn't expecting it to take this long but you know, life and school lmao..

My fingers traced along the spines of the many books I had in my shared house. I was looking for something that I could read while I waited for my husband, Qui-Gon Jinn, to come back from his meeting with the Jedi Council. We had kept our marriage a secret from everyone in the order. Literally, no one was told. We had been married for a few years now and it was easy to hide it. Qui-Gon and I didn't really agree with the Jedi Code about relationships. Especially, since reading the Jedi texts and finding no information about how attachments should be forbidden. My thoughts were broken by the sound of the door sliding open, signaling that Qui-Gon was back.

"(Y/N)?" He called and I poked my head out into the main room from the small study we had.

I smiled as our eyes locked. Then I noticed a small boy standing next to him.

"Hey, Qui-Gon, who's this young one?" I asked and walked closer to the two before kneeling down to the boy's height.

The boy grinned and stuck his hand out to me. "I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master." He said excitedly.

I giggled and shook his hand that he extended. "Hello, Obi-Wan. I'm (Y/n) (L/n)." I introduced myself and stood up from my kneeling position.

I glanced at Qui-Gon who wore a goofy smile on his face.

"He's my new padawan. That's what the council wanted to talk to me about." Qui-Gon explained.

I smiled and nodded. It was exciting to help a padawan become a Jedi Knight. I felt relieved knowing that the council hasn't found out about our relationship together. I stood up and placed a kiss on Qui-Gon's cheek.

"Welcome back." I said softly and Qui-Gon picked up Obi-Wan.

The small child had a look of disbelief at the display of affection. I giggled at his expression.

Time Skip

"Qui-Gon, let me come with you!" I whined as he was packing a few things for a diplomatic mission.

He sighed and looked towards me. I had been begging him since he had come home and told me. That was a few weeks ago and now he was leaving.

"Fine (Y/n). Please let me do the talking though?" He caved and I smiled brightly.

I nodded and hugged him tightly. He chuckled and returned the hug.

"I love you so much." I exclaimed and looked up to him.

He smiled, locking eyes with me. "I love you too, darling."

He said softly, pressing his lips onto mine. I giggled against the kiss before pulling away from him. Qui-Gon smiled and held me close to him. A knock at the door broke us away from each other and I volunteered to see who it was while Qui-Gon finished his previous task. I walked up to the door and opened it. Obi-Wan stood in front of me and I smiled brightly.

"Obi!" I exclaimed, he returned the smile and I moved to let him walk in.

Obi-Wan walked inside and looked back at me.

"Hello, Master (Y/n)." He greeted as he walked into the room.

Obi-Wan sat on the couch and leaned back into it. We made small conversations with each other, mostly asking how training was going since I wasn't around as much as I was when he was younger.

Qui-Gon cleared his throat to break our talk to pay attention to him. "Are we ready to go?"

I nodded and smiled. Obi-Wan stood up and walked over to me.
