Ships started landing and people flooded all the paths and common areas around the base. I pushed through people as my brother landed his X-Wing. Poe jumped down and ran towards me. He grabbed me in a tight embrace. Tears streamed down my face as we hugged each other.
"Thank goodness your safe!"
My voice cracked and he laughed slightly, he spun me around.
"We won!"
He yelled out and then put me down as another X-Wing landed. I looked over and saw Kylo Ren slowly stand up out of it. Everyone quickly held up some guns or something in their hand. I grabbed my lightsaber that sat on my belt and turned it on. He looked at everyone and picked up a body. It was Rey's body. I looked at his face, it looked like he was crying the entire way here. Poe glared at him and I walked up to the X-Wing.
"What are you doing here?!"
I yelled out at him.
"I'm here to apologize for everything Kylo Ren did. I am Ben Solo."
He said to me and climbed down from the ship. I held my lightsaber up to him.
"What happened to Rey?"
I yelled out. He looked down.
"She used her life to save everyone. I tried to save her.."
He ran his fingers over her cheek. I looked over at some of the medics and motioned them to come over. One of them walked over to us. They looked at Rey. They looked at me and nodded. I sighed and turned off my lightsaber. Ben looked at the medic and handed him Rey's body. He took her and walked towards the medical bay where we had General Leia still.
"Your mother is here if you want to see her."
I said and Ben nodded. I grabbed his arm and started walking towards Leia's bed. The medic that just took Rey was standing next to the bed and placed another sheet on top of Rey's body. Ben sighed heavily and walked up to Leia's body.
"I'm so sorry mom.."
He whispered and placed his hand on top of hers. I walked behind him and patted his shoulder. He brought his hand up and rubbed his face.
"I know it's hard."
I said. Ben looked back at me.
"She was the one that helped me change."
He said softly. I smiled and nodded.
"I know. I was with her when she talked to you."
Ben looked at me. He blinked as he stared at me.
"I remember you, you're the pilot's sister."
I nodded.
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you and everyone else here."
"Don't worry, anyone can change."

Time Skip

It has been a few months since Ben had shown up to the base. He had helped with everything around the base and went beyond trying to make up for everything.
"I think I'm gonna take him out to celebrate."
I said to Poe as he crossed his arms.
"I still don't trust him."
He said. I rolled my eyes.
"If Leia would still be alive she would've taken him with open arms too."
I said and grabbed my jacket before walking out of the house we lived in together. I pulled my jacket over my body to cover my lightsaber as I walked to Ben's tent.
"Benn!"
I called out as I walked closer. There was snoring and he didn't answer me. I smirked and walked up, peeling back the cloth on the tent. He was only in sweatpants, his hair was a mess. I bit my lip slightly, I had to say, he was pretty attractive. Ben's face slowly twisted as he tossed in his bed. He started mumbling and turning in his sleep.
"(Y/n).."
Ben mumbled and twitched. I blinked and stood there longer to see if he was going to say or do anything else. His eyebrows furrowed and his lightsaber turned on, cutting a small hole in the tent. I jumped back slightly at the sound and I quickly ran over to it, turning it off before it caught the whole tent on fire. I moved over next to Ben and grabbed his shoulder. I started shaking it and repeated his name.
"Ben! Wake up!"
I yelled and his eyes snapped open. He grabbed my arms tightly. Ben looked into my eyes and his grip slowly loosened.
"Oh, it's you."
He said softly, letting his arms drop to his side. Ben glanced down and his face turned red; he pulled the cover over his chest. My face started to heat up. I giggled softly and stood up.
"I want to take you out. As a thank you for everything you've done."
I said and he nodded quickly.
"That sounds amazing."
Ben smiled and I walked out of the tent.
"I'll just wait outside for you."
I said as I closed the tent. There were shuffling in the tent as I sat next to a tree. He walked out wearing the black sweatshirt that he came to the base in. I smiled and stood up.
"We can take the Falcon if you don't mind Chewie coming with us."
Ben spoke as he held out his arm. I giggled and linked my arm with his.
"That sounds amazing."
I mocked him, making him smile softly. Ben lead me towards the Falcon and walked inside. He let go of my arm and looked around for the Wookie. I heard Chewie roar and then Ben talking. Chewie walked past me and waved before walking towards the cockpit. Ben soon followed after him, stopping when he reached me. He motioned me to follow and I did. Ben sat in the chair next to Chewie. He sighed and looked at the console and I smiled softly, patting his shoulder before sitting down in the chair behind Chewie. Ben smiled as he glanced at me from the corner of his eye.
"It'll probably be a bumpy ride...I haven't flown this in a long time."
Ben said nervously and Chewie roared.
"I know, I know!"
He said back to the creature. I laughed slightly and leaned back into the chair. In reality, it was a pretty smooth ride to Tatooine so far. We had a little bit of relaxing time and we sat in front of the chessboard in the common area. Chewie roared and sat across from me.
"Nono, no one ever beats you at this Chewie; I'm just gonna lose."
I huffed out and crossed my arms. Ben laughed and turned on the board.
"I've always beat Chewie at this game."
He said as the Wookie took his turn. My mouth dropped.
"You're lying!"
I said as they played. Ben slowly started beating Chewie as the game went on. I blinked and watched them. Chewie cried out in frustration as his last character was killed.
"No way!"
I yelled as Ben leaned back, stretching out his arms, then wrapping one around my shoulders. I giggled at his attempt to be smooth.
"I told you I always beat Chewie."
He said and looked at me. Chewie roared and stood up walking towards the cockpit.
"Can you land by yourself?!"
Ben yelled and the Wookie replied. He smiled softly and looked back at me. I giggled and pushed on his chest.
"You're so cheesy!"
I laughed and his face turned red.
"Shut up!"
He barked back and moved his arm off me. He huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. I giggled and kissed his cheek. Ben's face turned even redder after the action I did.

Time Skip

I laughed as Ben stumbled over his own feet. He whined, his face red from being so drunk. I had never seen someone drink as much as he did.
"(Y/n)!! Gimme a kisssss!"
Ben whined and grabbed onto my arm, almost pulling me to the floor with his body weight. I laughed and tried to keep myself up as I walked to the Falcon.
"You're drunk!"
I laughed. He whined and I held him up. Chewie roared at us as we walked into the ship, pointing down one of the halls. I nodded and walked towards the bedroom. Ben whined and pouted, looking up at me. He puckered his lips out and made a kissing noise. I rolled my eyes and threw him on the bed.
"Oooooh, you're being dominant. I like that."
Ben cooed smoothly, a smirk plastered on his face. I choked on my own spit as my face turned red.
"You're dumb."
I rubbed my face and turned on my heel.
"Go to sleep."
My body was pulled backward and onto the bed. I yelped at the sudden movement but then relaxed as Ben wrapped his arms around me.
"Mmm, I really like you (Y/n). You're so beautiful and perfect in every way."
He said and shoved his face into my back. I blinked and squirmed in his grip. He loosened his grip and let me turn around. I now laid on top of his chest. I blushed as I looked at him. He held a serious but soft face. It was like he was being genuine with what he said. Ben sighed and laid his head all the way back into his pillow.
"You're too good for me!"
He yelled and I placed my hand over his mouth, muffling the last part of his sentence.
"I really like you too."
I said and rolled my eyes. Ben glanced at me and kissed my hand. I giggled and moved my hand, seeing the huge smile that laid on his face. I leaned down and pressed my lips on his. I flinched slightly at the strong taste of alcohol he tasted like, but I really didn't care at the moment. I dreamed of this moment since we got closer after he came to the base. His hand traced itself up my body to my jaw, making me shudder slightly. I had my hands by his head, holding myself up above him. I pulled away slightly, giggling at the dorky smile that laid on his face. He chuckled and pulled me back down into another kiss. I smiled against the kiss, moving my legs around his waist. He pulled back and then rested his hands on my waist. Ben yawned softly and I let myself lay on top of him.
"Now will you go to sleep?"
I asked and wrapped my arms around his neck. He nodded.
"Will you stay here?"
I nodded and yawned myself, burying my face into his neck.
"Good."
He said and held me close to his body. I hummed and planted a small kiss on his neck before slowly falling asleep.
