Storms ~ Poe Dameron

I yelped loudly, grabbing onto the blanket to cover my head. The room lighting up and a loud crash, rumbling through the room. I whimpered softly. A small beep squealed through the rumble before a motor sound came closer to me. I peeked from under the covers seeing BB-8 next to the bed. His circle body was pushed against the bed. I placed my hand on top of his head, my body shivering slightly at the coldness. Another strike of lightning hit, illuminating the whole room. I squeaked and retracted my hand away from him.
"(Y/n),"
Poe said softly as the door cracked open slightly.
"You're still up?"
He whispered, I peeked my head out from under the covers as my body shook slightly. Poe looked at me with confusion and worried before he realized as the thunder fumbled the house.
"Oh!"
Poe quickly walked towards the bed and crawled next to me. He lifted the covers over himself. I quickly pushed my body quickly into him. I didn't even notice he wasn't wearing his shirt when he walked into the room. He wrapped his arms protectively around me before placing a small kiss on my temple.
"Don't worry, as long as I'm here, nothing will hurt you; I promise."
I smiled softly and nodded. Poe held me close to him. Another crash of lightning made me yelp. Poe rubbed my back and held me close.
"Shhh it's okay."
He whispered softly. I inhaled a deep breath the slight smell of oil hitting my nostrils.
"Hey, BB-8,"
Poe said, the droid beeping back at him.
"Can you project a star map, any one."
The droid beeped affirmatively, before the room light up in a light blue. I peeked my eyes open, stars taking up the entire room.
"Wow..."
I muttered softly. Poe smiled and kissed the side of my head. He started pointing to some of the constellations and explaining them to me. He'd point to planets and tell me which ones they were and if he'd been there before. Stories after stories distracting me from the storm still going on outside the room. I slowly felt my eyelids dropping over my eyes. I let them fall and I slowly fell asleep, still listening to Poe's voice.
