Ben's POV

I stared as everyone hugged each other in rejoice. Everyone around me celebrating the destruction of the Final Order. I sighed, not being able to feel that happinesses.
"Ren? Is that you?"
I blinked at the voice, I turned around to see Hux leaning against a girl for support. His eyes were wide and his mouth agape. I smiled, knowing that he was safe. I didn't hate the guy so it brought a smile to my face to see him.
"It's Ben now."
I said softly, walking towards him. He smiled softly at me. I glanced down at the bandage around his leg.
"I guess it doesn't matter now but I was the spy."
He said softly. The girl stared at me, her eyes glazed over with fear. I looked at her and smiled.
"Don't worry, I'm on your side."
"O-Oh..I'm (Y/n). I'm a medic here and it's nice to meet you,"
She said before looking down at my chest.
"Oh my god, I should take care of that right now. "
(Y/n) quickly grabbed my arm while still holding Hux up and dragged me towards the medbay. Hux moved away from her and sat down on a cot and I did the same on the one next to him. (Y/n) walked over to me. She grabbed the end of my shirt and lifted it up. My face flushed a bright red at the sudden action and I stumbled over words trying to make a a sentence. She looked at me while she grabbed a stim.
"Uh sorry. This might hurt a little."
She mumbled before pulling the cap off the small needle. I grunted as it went in my side. (Y/n) stood up, letting the black fabric fall to cover me again. She smiled at me.
"It should be cleaned up in a few hours. I'd suggest you stay here."
She spoke before walking away from me as some pilots were brought in with battle wounds. Hux looked over to me.
"So what happened to you?"
He asked. I ran my fingers through my hair before leaning back.
"I fought Palpatine with the girl. She didn't make it.."
My voice trailed off at the thought of Rey being gone. My throat started to get tight. Hux's eyes looked at me with saddness.
"I'm so sorry.."
He moved around in the bed. I looked away slightly before shifting in the bed. Hux cleared his throat softly before speaking again.
"(Y/n) is the best medic they have here. So you should be healed in a fast amount of time."
I looked over at her as she had a bandage in her hand as she wrapped it around a pilot. I smiled softly.
"She actually did more than the dumb medic droids did in the First Order."
Hux chuckled softly. I looked over at him.
"I knew you were the spy."
I said. His smile dropped from his face before he groaned and looked away from me.
"I figured you did. God no one had any privacy."
I laughed at his remark.
"I'll give it to you now then."
He chuckled and leaned back.
"Yeah thanks."

Time Skip

Hux and I had gotten better and left the medbay area. We shared a lodging next to Poe and Finn. I couldn't leave the little house and see Poe an Finn without them giving me the dirtiest look in the Galaxy. They blame Rey's death on me, which I could understand that. We had buried Leia and her in the forest. I'd never thought I'd see the day I had to bury my mom. (Y/n) was the main one to try to comfort me the whole time we had planned and a few days afterwards. I sat in the small room that I had claimed, meditating trying to connect to the force. I needed to see my mom again. She would know how to help with this feeling. A knock on the door broke me out of the concentration. Hux stood in the doorway.
"I thought I'd tell you that I'm going to be home late tonight."
He boasted slightly.
"Oh? Where are you going?"
I spat slightly, my feet landing on the floor.
"(Y/n) invited me out."
Hux smiled brightly. It was nice to see him smile and relaxed. I smiled back as my stomach dropped.
"Alright have fun."
He nodded and walked out of the doorway. I sighed softly, regaining my state. I inhaled deeply closing my eyes. I tried to just focus on the Force.
"Ben?"
My eyes snapped open to see Leia standing there. She was wearing a white dress. I smiled brightly and lowered myself to the floor.
"Mom!"
I exclaimed running towards the ghost before I stopped myself right before her. My heart sinking in my chest. She smiled and brought her hand up to my face, pushing some hair out of my eyes.

Time Skipp

"Hey Ben!"
(Y/n) giggled hugging my arm. I smiled down at her.
"Hey (Y/n)."
I said softly. She grabbed my hand and started to pull me through the forest.
"I wanna show you something!"
She smiled brightly and I nodded following her lead. She stopped and I almost ran into the back of her.
"Here put this on."
(Y/n) handed me a red cloth. I raised my eyebrow and looked at her.
"Come on you trust me right?"
She stood on her tippy toes to reach around my head. A soft smile formed on my face, butterflies in my stomach as she leaned closer to me.
"Yeah, yeah I do."
I mumbled and her eyes brightened with the answer. She held the cloth around my head and tied it loosely. The forest around us was replaced with a dark red. (Y/n) wrapped her hand around mine and slowly pulled me forward. I smiled softly, squeezing her hand slightly. She giggled softly and returned the squeeze. Twigs scraped the side of my face, making me whince slightly.
"Sorry, you're taller than me. I keep forgetting."
(Y/n) said softly. I smiled.
"It's alright."
She stopped me after a few minutes and then took the blindfold off. My eyes started to adjust to the sudden change in light. My mouth fell agape as she stood in front of a small blanket with food placed on it.
"I thought we could watch the sunset tonight. I noticed you've been acting differently so I figured it be nice to get out of the base for a little."
(Y/n) smiled and lead me towards the blanket. I smiled and sat down.
"Thank you, really. I don't know the last time someone did something like this for me."
I said softly as she handed me a sandwich. She smiled.
"Of course."
(Y/n) said and looked into the forest. I took a bite of the sandwich and exhaled a deep breath.
"This is so good. What the hell."
I muttered and ate some more. (Y/n) laughed and looked at me. I smiled and put the rest of it down and stared out towards the horizon. (Y/n) smiled and moved closer to me. I felt my stomach start to turn as she got closer to me, my breath hitching in my throat. I couldn't do anything, I knew how Hux felt about her and I didn't really want to mess it up for him. I had already done that enough of that before. He had told me about the night they went out together and I could tell he had fallen head over heels for her. His eyes lit up and a huge smile on his face when he walked in the door.
"So, (Y/n)?"
"Yeah?"
"What do you think about Hux?"
I asked, glancing at her. She kinda shrunk slightly into her body before looking at me.
"Promise you won't tell him?"
I nodded and she smiled softly, leaning her head into her hand. I knew the answer right at that moment.
"I like him, he's really nice and cute."
(Y/n) looked towards me, her eyebrows furrowing when she scanned my face. I had felt my stomach drop and my chest started to hurt. I quickly smiled and chuckled.
"Did he tell you anything? I swear I just said stupid things when I was drunk!"
(Y/n) got embarrassed and her face flushed.
"Nono, trust me; he likes you too."
A bright smile pulled at her lips.
"Really?!"
"Yeah."
I smiled seeing how happy she got.

And that's when I realized I wouldn't be satisfied here.
