"(Y/n) stay with the kid!"
"Din, wait!"
I yelled before he jumped down from the small cliff with his jet pack. I sighed heavily and turned around to look at the kid, well Grogu, since Ahsoka had told us his name. He was sitting on a sphere-type rock, with a blue beam encasing him inside it. We had tried to grab him but Din had gotten thrown back from it. I had just accepted the fact we'd have to wait for him to be done, but I had no idea how long that would take. I sat down in front of the rock and stared up at the kid.
"Grogu, hurry up bubs."
I whispered softly, reaching my hand towards the blue screen. I poked it slightly and my hand flicked backward from the force field. Panic started to set in as I heard more blaster shots go off. I sighed and paced back and forth closing my eyes, trying to calm myself down from the ongoing battle at the bottom of the hill. A small coo made me open my eyes. Grogu was leaning sideways and started to fall asleep on the rock. I cheered slightly and ran towards him. I picked him up and cradled him in my arms and sighed happily. He cooed and nudged himself closer into my shoulder. I rubbed his ears and turned to walk towards the edge of the platform. The two shuttles started flying away before a missile hit the top one, crashing into the second one. I smiled brightly and looked down seeing Mando standing with the others, talking. I looked down towards Grogu, he was fast asleep in my arms. I exhaled a deep breath, relieved that nothing terrible had happened to him or any of us here. My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach as I watched a red beam fly into the Razor Crest. The whole ship exploding into pieces. I just stood in shock staring at the black area where the ship once was. My brain was so out of it that when cold arms wrapped around my waist and I squeaked. My first instinct was that it was Din. I turned around seeing droids making my eyes widened. One held me as another came closer, grabbing Grogu out of my arms. He stirred in his sleep and slowly opened his eyes. He squealed slightly as he looked up at me.
"MANDO!"
I screamed loudly, kicking and trying to pry the arms open. The arms gripped tighter around my waist. Keeping me from lunging forward. The droid holding Grogu, started to fly away and I still squirmed in the mechanical grip, my arms burning from the movements.
"No! Come back here!"
I yelled out. The sound of Din's jet pack came closer to me but then my feet left the floor. The robot pulled me back in front of it and tightened its grip so I wouldn't fall.
"(Y/n)! No!"
His voice got farther and farther away from me. I looked down and saw Mando standing on the rock staring up at the brigade of robots. I screamed out for him and held tighter onto the droid, scared of falling to the floor.

I kicked at the droids as the one holding Grogu started to walk away from me, stormtroopers standing next to a doorway.
"Let me go! Give him back!"
I screamed out, my arms burning as I pulled. Grogu fussed slightly as he started to wake up. He sat up slightly and looked towards me. He whined and reached his arm out towards me.
"No! Grogu I'll come to get you, I promise!"
I yelled out to him before he disappeared through the doorway. I bit my lip slightly to keep myself from crying harder. The droids started walking, pushing me forward. There was no use in trying to stop it so I walked with them. As they pushed me closer to where the brig was, I saw a caped figure walk towards us. My eyes widened as I saw Moff Gideon.
"(Y/n) (L/n) and the creature? Truly two for the price of one."
He said as he came closer to me. I gritted my teeth and lunged forward, only to be restrained by the droids.
"The Mandalorian is coming, I hope you know!"
I growled out. He smirked.
"Oh, I'm planning on it for sure."
He said unimpressed, his eyes trialed from mine up to the droid.
"Put her with the creature, it'll make it feel safer."
Gideon said and the droid turned me to face the doorway that Grogu went into. The door slid open and the droid pushed me inside. Grogu was sitting on the bench and I quickly ran towards him. He whined, reaching up towards me. I sighed with relief and held him in my arms. I leaned into the wall and closed my eyes, trying to make sense of everything that had happened in the past hour or so.

Time Skip

It had been a few days of being held on Gideon's ship. They would come in and try to get to Grogu and I tried my best to keep them away from him. One time, a stormtrooper had thrown me to the floor when I tried to stop them and Grogu had started using his force powers on them. One started choking and one fell to the floor. I had begged Grogu to stop because I  knew that he would just fall asleep afterward and I wouldn't be able to hold off the troopers when they had blasters and I was just, me with no weapons or anything.  I sat with Grogu in my arms on the bench, they had taken his blood from him and he seemed to be tired. I sighed heavily and kissed his head. Grogu whined and pushed his face into my chest, slowly falling asleep. I smiled softly, realizing he had fallen asleep. I hummed a soft song that Din would hum while he worked on the Razor Crest or when he was trying to keep himself awake as he flew in the cockpit. Grogu cooed happily as I hummed. The small quiet time we had soon was interrupted by slamming on the wall. I jumped from the noise and held Grogu close to me. Muffled arguing and fighting was outside the small cell we were in. Then the door slid open quickly, my eyes widened. Din stood in front of the door, the dark saber ignited in his hand.
"Din!"
I exclaimed and shot up from the little bed.
"(Y/n), thank the stars you're alright."
He exhaled a breath and turned the sword off before walking closer to me. Grogu opened his eyes and I ran towards him, throwing myself into his arms. Din wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his chest. I leaned into his embrace and sighed happily. I knew he would come to get us but, the few days we were here felt like months. I felt like I hadn't been held by Din in ages. Din pulled away slightly looking down at Grogu.
"Hey, kid,"
He said softly as Grogu reached up towards him. Din held out his finger and Grogu wrapped his hand around it.
"Come on, we have to get to the others."
Din continued and moved away from me. I nodded as I followed him out of the Brigg. When we walked out I noticed Moff Gideon sitting on the floor with binders on. He looked up at me and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Not so fun on the other end, is it?"
I spat as Grogu giggled. Gideon didn't answer, he just looked away from me. Din ignited the dark saber and pulled Gideon to his feet. We walked down the hallways to get to the command deck.

When we reached the deck, the other Mandalorians we had met were standing here. Bo Katan looked over at Din, her eyes widened as she saw the saber in his hand. Din walked closer to her and held it in her direction.
"Here,"
Din said and Bo looked away defeated. I made my way over to Cara as she was the only one I really knew well in the room. (We stan Cara Dune as her own character)
"(Y/n)! I'm so glad you and the kid are safe."
She said and gave me a quick side hug. I smiled and nodded.
"It's nice to see everyone again."
I sighed softly before an alarm went off. Of course. We could never have a single moment where we weren't in danger of dying. Fennec looked at the console and explained that there were more Dark Troopers coming towards the deck. We all quickly locked the doors and started making makeshift covers to stand behind if they broke through the door. I sat on the floor behind a desk Din had flipped over with Grogu sitting next to me. He played with a small piece of his clothes, keeping him distracted from everything going on. Suddenly loud bangs hit the door, making me jump and grip the blaster Cara had given me tighter in my hand. A quiet beep came from the main console, I blinked and crawled towards it. I looked at the small display where it showed an X-Wing fly into the hanger. Fennec walked over to me and started using the intercom trying to get the ship to identify itself, but nothing came through. We all stood frozen as the banging stopped. I tried to flip through the hall cameras to see if I could find the person that was on the ship. All I saw was someone in a black cloak, with a lightsaber? They were just slicing through the Dark Troopers.
"Who is that?"
Fennec whispered as we stared at the screen together.
"I have no idea, but whoever it is, is kicking those robots' asses."
I said and looked over at Din, Grogu was standing over with him now and I smiled softly at the two. The door opened and the cloaked figure stood outside with the door. They pulled down the hood and showed the dirty blonde hair he had.
"Who are you?"
Din asked and the man smiled softly.
"I'm Luke Skywalker, a Jedi."
My eyes widened at the word Jedi. I slowly walked towards Din, picking up Grogu. Luke looked over at me and Grogu.
"I was called to this place by that little one there. I intend on taking him in as my apprentice."
Luke explained and an R2 droid rolled up next to him. I looked over at Din. Part of me was happy that we had found a Jedi like Din had agreed to do but the other part of me was sad that we would have to give him up and probably never see him again. Din nodded and turned to me. My vision blurred with tears that started to form. I looked down at Grogu, he glanced up at me and smiled. I smiled sadly, pressing a kiss on his head.
"We'll see you again one day. I promise."
I said softly. Din reached towards his head, taking his helmet off. My eyes widened as I stared at him. I had never seen him without his helmet off. Grogu looked up at Din and reached towards him. Din smiled softly, reaching to him and picking him up.
"It's been fun kid, but you have to go with him."
He said and Grogu placed his hand on Din's cheek. Din sighed softly and looked towards Luke. We handed Grogu off to him and they started to walk towards the elevator. I quickly rubbed my eyes, keeping the stray tears from falling down my face. Din inhaled a deep breath, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me close to his side. Grogu looked over Luke's shoulder as he got farther away from us and I waved slightly before the door closed all the way. Din looked towards the floor and quickly brought his hand up to his face. I looked at him, seeing the way he held his breath and didn't say anything. I could tell he was trying not to cry.
"Din,"
I hugged him, putting my face in his neck.
"We knew this was going to happen eventually."
Din nodded and exhaled a shaky breath. He brought his hand away from his face and glanced to look at me.
"I know,"
He said and I looked up at him. I smiled softly at him and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
"Now off to the next crazy adventure?"
I asked softly and Din chuckled softly.
"Of course."
