I sighed contently as I stepped out of my shower. I had been stressed lately and Luke not being here had just added more stress to everything. So I decided to take a shower and relax a little. I wrapped myself with the towel as I dried off. My (h/c) hair was darkened from the water and some slowly dropped down my neck, making me shudder. I quickly grabbed the towel and started drying my hair, catching the stray water droplets. I turned slightly towards the mirror and caught my reflection. My eyes trailed down my body, my gaze locking onto the small red marks that went up from my hips towards my stomach. My hands fell from my head to over my stomach as I sucked in a deep breath, trying to make myself look like I was in better shape than I was. It seemed the longer I looked at myself, the more I'd find to hate. Every price of confidence I had was getting crushed down. How did Luke even think I was the one he wanted to move in with? There were plenty of other girls in the rebellion that were stronger than me and even prettier than me. My vision glazed over slightly and I quickly wiped the tears coming out of my eyes.
"(Y/n)! I'm home!"
Luke's voice echoed through the small house we shared. The door made a loud slam as it closed behind him. A heavy sigh escaped my lips. I quickly grabbed one of his tunics he had in the bathroom and threw it over my torso. I quickly tried to make myself look presentable and where I didn't look like I had started to cry. I opened the door and slowly walked out.
"Hey,"
I spoke softly.
"How was you're training?"
Luke smiled up at me from the end of the hallway. He walked closer to me.
"It was good. How've you been?"
Luke asked, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him. My shoulders shrugged naturally and I moved away from his embrace a little. He blinked and looked down at me, his smile slowly faded off his face.
"What's wrong?"
Luke asked, noticing how I tried to distance myself from him. I forced a small smile on my face and shook my head.
"Nothing. I promise."
I tried to reassure Luke and walked to our bedroom. He huffed and soon followed. He stared at me as we walked, probably trying to read any emotion I had given him. I turned around, stopping in front of the door. Luke's eyebrows were knitted together and a frown plastered on his face.
"Luke-"
"I know you're upset about something; what's wrong (Y/n)?"
Luke cut me off, his face softening. I laughed slightly, trying to shake him off of the feeling.
"Nothing Luke I'm fine."
In reality, there was a lot I was upset about but I didn't want to start talking about it. I felt that if I even started to say anything about it, I would completely break and I wouldn't know how to stop myself. A defeated sigh escaped his lips; I kissed his cheek and then laid down on our bed.
"Did you eat already?"
Luke asked again, laying down behind me. I nodded as his arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me towards his chest. His head laid on top of my hair and I smiled softly.
"Good,"
"Did you?"
I asked looking up towards him. Luke nodded and kissed my nose. I giggled and smiled. Luke smiled and chuckled softly.
"So what's up with you wearing my shirt?"
He asked and pulled at the black long sleeve. I pulled the sleeves over my hands.
"I didn't know when you'd be home. It smells like you so it makes me feel happy."
I said, snuggling the tunic. Luke chuckled and held me close.
"I'm glad it makes you happy."
Luke laid his head in the crook of my neck. I sighed heavily, leaning into his chest. My brain was still racked with all the issues I had seen about myself.
"(Y/n), please tell me what's wrong love. I wanna help you."
Luke broke the small silence.
"I just.."
I sighed softly, rubbing the side of my face.
"I hate the way I look.."
I continued and stared at the wall. Luke's arms left my waist and he propped himself up on his elbows. I turned slightly to lay on my back.
"Is that why you haven't been eating?"
Luke asked and I nodded. I groaned and put my hands over my face.
"I see myself in the mirror and I just hate everything I see. I hate my hair, my body, my face. There are so many other girls that look way better than me. Maker, I don't know why all the sudden it just came back."
I ranted, tears slowly falling down my cheeks. Luke's eyebrows knitted together and he laid back down next to me.
"Come here love."
He said softly, wrapping his arms around me. I instinctively pushed into his chest and he held me protectively. I cried harder into him, gripping onto his shirt. A small hum came from him as he started to rub circles in my back.
"You know, I think your beautiful. Everything about you is,"
Luke said, planting a kiss on my forehead.
"Every little flaw you think you might have is what makes you uniquely beautiful. Your hair frames your face perfectly. Your smile brightens any room you walk into."
I held my breath slightly, trying to listen to him through my cries. Luke laid his head on top of mine.
"You're the only version of you. And you're the only version of you I want. Not to the point where you might physically harm yourself to look a certain way. You're beautiful the way you are."
Luke spoke softly, holding me close. A small smile pulled at my lips. His words brought a small sense of comfort.
"No matter if you thinks girl is prettier than you, no one will ever be any better than you to me."
I exhaled a small breath and moved away from him slightly. Luke put both his hands on three sides of my face and lifted it so I looked at him.  He smiled softly at me and placed a small kiss on my nose. I smiled softly and let out a small giggle.
"What did I ever do to deserve you?"
I said softly, leaning into his hands.
"You were yourself my love."
Luke said and held me close
