you board your plane and sit on your phone as a bunch of guests enter. of course you're sitting next to a couple. just your luck. you text payton before you take off, knowing he won't see it until he lands.

i'm about to take off. i already miss you :(

after your looong flight home. you're met at the airport by maggie, amber and bryce. when you see them you automatically wrap you arms around maggie and sink into her shoulder.

Am | awe, audrey.

you head home and tell your friends they can go. they think your going to work on the schoolwork you missed. in reality you're just going to sit on your bed. your phone chimes.

Payton
just landed in LA. about to jump on my second flight to Phoenix if you want to call for a few minutes.

no hesitation you call him.

A | hey.

P | awe. don't sound so sad.

A | i am so sad. i miss you.

P | it's only a few weeks. plus i'll be home before your surfing competition.

A | how do you know when that is?

P | i just might have looked it up.

A | are you coming?

P | i couldn't miss it.

P | luckily it's in the week i'm home.

P | me too. well i've got to go. i'll text you when i land.

he hangs up the phone and you lay back down on your bed. you end up scrolling through tik tok. seeing all the couples just made you so sad. you look at all the tik tok drafts you have from hanging out with payton and you decide to post this one.

you continue on your work when your door opens. it's brady.

A | he's at home right now. with his friends.

A | yeah. i am. he's hanging with his other friends.

B | you should go.

you talk to him for a little bit and decide to take him out to target. you need a break from your work anyways. you buy him a icee and some candy. he walks you back to the toys and look at a bunch.

you decide to ignore it since they aren't talking to you. just seconds later they approach you.

?? | hey? are you audrey from tik tok?

A | yeah. that's me.

?? | seriously?! can i get a photo?

A | yeah.

you take a photo with the 3 girls.

A | no problem.

they walk off.

B | who was that?

you didn't want to confuse him so you told him they were your friends. you get home and you watch a movie with your family. it was relaxing. you end up falling asleep on the couch.
