after your movie your parents go out to buy ice cream. you and maggie sit on your phones. you snap payton back and get a notification that he posted a tik tok. it with him and one other guy you haven't seen. he's tagged as @dylan. you open his profie and look through his videos. then your parents get home. you have ice cream together before you and maggie head upstairs. you sit on your phones. eventually maggie puts hers down and looks over at you.

M | how are things with payton?

A | oh. good.

M | really?

A | yeah.

M | you like him?

A | yeah.

M | really?!

you look down from your phone.

A | not like that.

M | ugh. seriously! payton's a much better guy than gabe. that was 3, almost 4 years ago now.

A | how do you know that?

M | you know that! i heard you guys talking on the beach. he say there for hours with you. just talking. you guys have a connection. it's been way too long since i've seen you happy with a guy.

A | you don't know though.

M | do you think payton would hurt you.

A | i didn't think gabe would hurt me, until he did.

M | audrey you have to give him a chance.

A | you don't even know if he likes me mags.

M | he's not going to add some random girl off tik tok and give you his NUMBER. which he can't trust everyone with because of his number got leaked that would be a bad day for him. he trusts you.

A | he barley knows me.

M | yet he still trusts you.

A | shut up.

M | audrey!

A | what?!

M | tell me if you called him right now you could look him dead in the eye and tell him you had no feelings for him whatsoever?

A | no maggie.

she calls him.

she faces the camera toward you.

P | oh, these are my friends audrey and maggie.

the guys walk over to the camera. it's the same guy from his tik tok.

A | hey!

?? | hey girls! i'm dylan.

A | hey dylan. i'm audrey and this is my friend maggie.

dylan (D) | hey!

P | well, what are you guys up to?

M | we we're just talking and audrey wanted to call you but was too scared.

P | really? is that so.

A | no, i wasn't. i was just having a conversation with maggie.

he laugh. blushing, but just slightly.

A | well i'll let you hang out with dylan.

P | okay. talk to you later.

A | bye payton! bye dylan!

P | bye aug.

D | bye.

M | BYE!

she hangs up. you shove her and she laughs.

A | i hate you so much.

M | hey! it wouldn't be that big of a deal if you didn't like him!

A | i don't! he's my friend.

M | you want me to call him and tell him that?

A | you can.

she presses his contact. then facetime.

A | NO MAGGIE!

she starts laughing.
