Arc 1: Chapter 9

You walked home feeling a bit warm on the inside.

It was a new feeling for you and you didn't dislike it.

You opened the door and went inside.

"Aunt? Uncle?"

When you entered the house, the living room was empty.

'Where are they?'

You went to their room and the door was locked.

Outside the door, you heard grunts and moanings inside the room.

'Oh, it's 'that' time already.'

You knew that your aunt and uncle do 'that' everytime at least once a week.

Knocking seemed like a bad idea for you so you didn't disturb them.

There was a time when you dirsturbed them and you were punished harshly.

You don't want to happen that again.

Instead of ruining their happy time, you just cleaned the house and prepared dinner.

After preparing dinner, you heard foot steps coming down from the stairs.

"Y/n? Is that you?" Your aunt said.

Seemes like they were finally finished.

"Yes. I already received the results from the exam." You said without further ado.

"Oh my! Then how was it?!"

You took the envelope from your bag and gave it to them.

"I placed first as you wished. The school principal gave that to me."

They received the envelope and opened it.

"Oh my goodness! Honey, look at this!" Your aunt exclaimed.

"Ten thousand dollars and a vacation ticket for two persons. Great job Y/n." Your uncle said.

"Y/n, prepare all our clothes and pack them asap. We will depart tomorrow as the ticket said. We'll leave the house to you." Your aunt said.

You felt weird by this sudden event and you agreed to their requests.

"Yes, aunt. Please eat dinner first and I'll take care of your things."

They proceeded to eat and you packed their things.

"Y/n." Your uncle said.

"Here, this is your allowance for the whole week while we're away."

He only gave you a hundred dollars and you didn't complain even though the money they received was totally yours.

You needed to budget out this money for yourself to survive the whole week.

You didn't worry about food since you only ate a little.

Eerything was was settled in your mind and you already knew what to do in the following days.

"Thank you uncle."

...

"We'll return next monday. Take care of the house by then."

"Yes, aunt and uncle. Take care." You said.

They went inside the taxi and left.

Finally, you were alone.

This was the first time you were left alone in the house.

You didn't know what to feel now that you were free from their abuses momentarily.
