The Incident

Sebastian's POV

So everyone is here over at Kurt's and I am still dealing with the death of my entire family when they were shot at a family gathering. Santana was the only one not there. But I found her shot to death in her bedroom. I just moved in with Kurt's family since they offered. "A toast, to Bastian. One of the strongest people I know. Most people in his position right now would have been a broken mess on the floor, yet here our brother is standing in front of us making sure we are all alright. He lined me out with the steroids, kept the Warblers from getting arrested for assault by taking the blame, beating the shit out of any guy who remotely made Santana feel uncomfortable or frightened. You are one of the nicest people I know and you do not deserve what you are going through right now. To our snarky ass Warbler Captain." Hunt says and that puts a smile on my face that is a real genuine smile. And I can't keep it off my face. Everyone else bursts into cheers as Kurt walks over and sets next to me. "You did it! You got him to smile a smile almost to big for his face! The smile we haven't seen since before the slushy incident!" Blaine yells. I laugh at the group in front of me. Brittany walks over to me with a box. "Santana gave this to me 4 months ago and said if anything was to ever happen to her to make sure this gets to you. it was wrapped and everything when she gave it to me so I have no idea what's in it. But her direct orders were to make sure this got to you." She says reaching the box to me. I realize tomorrow would have been our 17th birthday. "The birthday present she would have never got to give to me...." I say trailing off at the end. "What." Artie says confused. "Every year about 4 months before our birthday we would get each others present and wrap it up and everything. But we would give it to one of our most trusted friends who could hide it but they would return it to us a day before our birthday. Which is today. We would do that because we know with me out there chasing criminals it sort of puts a target on all of us. So incase something was to happen to the other we would go ahead the person we gave the gift to could give it to them as a goodbye present of sorts. And every year we would make the present something memorable and special. Like the locket I wear and never take off. It was my 14th birthday present from her. It is a picture from the day we were born on it. On the back of it, it has both of our names engraved into it with the words 'Twins by chance, best friends by choice' which is what we would always say to each other. Our parents found it hilarious. But it was our motto as some would say." I explain. "That is a very big box though." Thad says. I unwrap it and take the lid off. Inside is a quilt. "A quilt. What does that mean." Puck asks. I notice all of the Warblers are silent. "It is the quilt my son was wrapped in when he took his last breath..." I say. "You see this is the quilt my grandmother made me for him. He died a week after I brought him home. He had an allergic reaction to a medicine they gave him before I left the hospital. I had swaddled him in this quilt that night. The quilt went missing when we cleaned out the nursery." I say my thoughts out loud without realizing. I notice there is a whole other box in this box that was under the quilt. I open it and inside is a bunch of random things. I pull out a picture and there is a card in the box as well. "Warblers, this is addressed to you." I say looking up and reaching them the card. They open the envelope and open the card and a picture falls out. It is a picture of all of us at a random showcase against Vocal Adrenaline and we had won and Santana had performed with us along with the Crawford girls. "There is a check." Thad says. "What do you mean check." I ask. "It is a check for 100,000 dollars. Oh my god." Trent says. "It says for you to read the card. That you would know where the money came from and what to do with it." Nick says. I read the card. "She couldn't have. This would have taken years to save up. But if you take away bills, food, and taxes since she is still considered a teen." I say after reading it. "What." Jeff says. "She saved up all of this money on her own. She knew we are about to lose Dalton Academy because the school doesn't have enough money to keep up. We are losing students left and right because Dalton is losing everything. The card says, 'I saved this up and kept it hidden in my room until I could cash it in and get the check, I worked multiple jobs and did multiple fundraisers, but I have more in my account. Sebby my password is something only me and you know. My laptop is under my bed. You already know the password to my phone. You know my bank information since you helped me set my account up. You guys all mean the world to me. I know you have a competition a week after our birthday Bas. You guys go out there and do what I know you do best. You are probably curious as to why I am saying it like I won't be there. It's because I won't. I have known we all won't make it out of this alive. Bas you have a future ahead of you. Gideon can prove that. You all have futures ahead of you. The picture is of the day we showed up Vocal Adrenaline and the judges from America's Got Talent were the ones judging us and we got a standing ovation from them. Don't cry when you think of me. Don't be sad. I want you guys to smile and live happy lives. Think of the good times we had. not the arguments, the times we were ready to kill each others, or the times we were all saying things we didn't mean. I'm not mad. I know you guys never mean anything of the sorts, if anything you mean the exact opposite. Look out for Bas. I know this will hit hard on him. Kurt you have a keeper there. He loves you and I know you love him. I love you guys so much. Remember that. If you ever miss me, look at that picture and think of that day we will never let Vocal Adrenaline live down. Your baby sister, Santana.'. She knew she was going to die." I say reading it out loud. 

**Fast Forward 6 years**

"Ahhhh!" I scream in pain and with that the cries of an infant fill the room yet again. You may be confused. Time skipped by very fast there. Well I just gave birth to mine and Kurt's twins. A boy and a girl. Me and Kurt got married 2 years ago and the twins were unexpected. We were trying awhile back but it didn't work. Well this was totally unplanned and we got double trouble now. They reach me the twins after making sure everything was alright. "They're beautiful." Kurt says. "They are." I say. Kurt has the boy while I am holding the girl. "What about names. What about naming her Santana after Tana." Kurt says. "Aubrey. Aubrey Elizabeth Hummel." I say looking up. "Aubrey as in Santana's first name. But it has a nice ring to it." He says smiling. "What about Aubrey and Austin." He says. "That goes together well." I say. We talk about his middle name and finally decide on one and after we sign the birth certificates and everything I fall asleep and the last thing I remember is him kissing me and saying 'I love you'. In the end we decided on Austin Cole Hummel and Aubrey Elizabeth Hummel.
