Rumor On The Streets

Sara's POV

I am talking with Len and he said something when my phone rings. "Ooh is boyfriend calling." He says smiling. He has been a lot goofier nowadays. "In 3 days he will be my husband." I say answering the phone. "Hey babe what's up." I say. I hear him sniffle meaning he has been crying. "Who hurt you. You literally almost never cry. Not dead middle of the day especially." I say worriedly. I slap Len when he starts making weird sounds. "A little worried are we Lance." He says. I slap him again. "Barry what happened. Is Nora alright." I ask. "Oh yeah Nora's fine. Just been a really ruff day so far. Your voice calms me." He whispers. With that he hangs up. "So the man calls you yet hangs up on you." Len says. "He balances 3 family companies, is a CSI, trained former assassin for the government, is the flash, deals with shit from the particle accelerator explosion five years ago may I remind you, is pretty much a single father to a 14 year old daughter because I can't be there, suffers from anxiety, depression, ADHD, and very rarely sleeps. Cut the poor man some slack. If it was anyone else who didn't have all of that going on then if they called me then hung up on me they wouldn't live to see another day. Barry also has social anxiety so he probably heard you and got spooked and didn't want to tell me what happened." I say walking into the room where everyone else is. "Gideon tell me everything about 2040." I say to the AI. "Of course Ms. Lance. In 2040, meta humans are all sentenced to death if found of their abilities. Everyone is constantly checked for powers. Even Barry Allen was sentenced to death even though he was Central City's hero. While everyone is protesting his death the justice system isn't budging. Eobard Thawne is being executed on the same day as Barry Allen." She says. My eyes widen. But if Barry was found out how did Nora not get found out. "You Ms. Lance unfortunately didn't make it on the mission against Cicada in 2026. Nora was only a week old when you passed leaving Mr. Allen to raise the child on his own. When Nora ran back in time she fund a loop hole. So no matter if you and Mr. Allen have more kids she won't be erased from existence yet she still would never be able to go home." Gideon explains. I roll my eyes at the loop hole part. "Just like her father, always finding loop holes in things." I mutter. "Gideon tell me more about Nora Allen please." I say. "Well when she was 6 was when the meta human laws were approved and Mr. Allen got Dr. West to implant a power dampening chip into her. Ever since she came back from the future rumor has it she has been completely awful to Mr. Allen. She is a..." Gideon goes to say. "Excuse me. So now I know why he was so upset." I say. "Hang on guys we're going to Central City." I say. When we arrive I storm into Star Labs. "Mom!" Nora yells. Barry is nowhere insight. "Nora, go to the speed lab now. I will be there momentarily." I say in a strict parenting voice. I notice team Arrow and team Super girl is here. "We came early so we could be prepared for the wedding." Kara explains. When I know Nora is out of earshot I mutter a colorful string of words. "Now where is he." I ask. "Who... Oh Barry! He is in the med bay with Caitlin right now getting a few x-rays done. He told her his back had been hurting him along with a few other things but I wasn't paying attention. She went full over protective mode on him." Cisco says. I snort. "He has told her he has had back problems since he was a child right." I say. "Nope. I didn't even know he had back troubles. I mean yeah it is understandable after Zoom broke his back 3 years ago today but he has never said a word about back problems before that." Cisco says. I laugh. "He has been playing your team this whole time since apparently then. He was to ashamed to tell you guys he had back problems before and assumed you knew because it was in his file. But now he has an excuse for his back to hurt him. Ha." I say smirking. "I don't mind if he plays me if he is in pain. But Caitlin and the others may be pissed." Cisco says. "Now I know why Barry likes you so much." I say. Cisco takes the lollipop out of his mouth. "Ok dude where do you get so much candy from. You constantly have some kind of candy in your mouth." Len says. "Barry buys it for me to keep my mouth shut when he is in pain and not to tell Caitlin because he doesn't want to set through hours of tests and scans nor be stuck in the bed in there all day." Cisco says. "Ok, now who in here would like to tell me why Nora hates Barry." I say. "We don't know. All we know is she treats him like shit no matter what he does. I think something happened in the future." Sherlock  and Harry say at the same time. I look over at Cisco. "Don't question it. All you need to know is we are stuck with two Well's." He grumbles. "In my defense Barry was the one who came and got me and Jesse." Harry says. "I know. I wish he would have just left you on your earth but we needed your help." Cisco grumbles. I walk out to go after Nora and have a chat. Forgetting completely about the cameras. When in the cortex I glanced into the Med Bay and saw Barry crying still. I would say Caitlin is covering for him. Good to know his team has his back. I walk into the speed lab to see Nora talking with Jesse. I pay no attention to the other girl but look at Nora dead in the eyes. "Rumor on the streets is that you have been a little bitch to your father. Is it true." I say. Jesse looks a little amused by this. Nora won't look me in the eyes. "Answer my damn question and look me in the eyes when you answer!" I yell. "But he isn't..." She goes to say but Jesse cuts her off. "He isn't what, cool. Your father is the coolest man I have met. Rumor on the streets is he locked himself in the particle accelerator the night it blew to control the blast and direct it up not the other way. And the scars down his back are from him being tortured to save your mother from being killed." Jesse says crossing her arms. "He took away my powers!" Nora complains. "Did you ever let him explain why." I ask. "He said it was to protect me." She says. "But did you let him explain to protect you from what. When you got mad and ran back in time why were you mad. Because your father dampened your powers and disappeared the next day. But did you know where he disappeared to. He was taken. By the government. Your father has always wanted a child of his own to train, but he didn't get the chance with you. He ordered for a power dampening chip to be put into your shoulder as soon as the meta human laws were approved. The flash was safe at first but to the public your not the flash's daughter, your Barry Allen's. And if Barry Allen was tested to see if he was a meta human then they would find out you were. So he dampened your powers so if they were to ever find out he was a meta human and they tested you it would be negative and you would be in the clear. Right now your father is on death row along with Thawne and are sentenced to death because of their abilities. They are to be killed at the same time. Your father knew there was always the risk of them turning on the Flash in the future. Because most of their main villains have been speedsters. I get your mad at him for taking your powers but that was future him. He is different right now Nora. I die in the future. He most likely was terrified of losing you two, because your all he had. On the way here Gideon informed me everyone else died to. The rest of the legends died in an explosion, Jesse, Caitlin and Cisco died because they were meta humans, Joe was shot on a rouge mission. Iris was killed by a cop who thought she was a meta human, team arrow were all killed by an old assassin who was out for revenge for them killing her big brother, team supergirl were all killed when earth 38 blew up, your father's parents were killed because an old meta human wanted revenge. Sherlock and Harry were attacked by bears. Everyone was gone. He couldn't lose you to. Your father has done amazing things throughout life. And who do you think your dancing skills come from. He has had to teach me how to dance and in our free time we are practicing dancing because I would prefer I not step on your father at our wedding. I couldn't dance to save my life. Your tap dance you were showing me is your fathers original choreography. His dance that he did at a children's hospital 3 years ago to cheer all the kids up. Who do you think made your dress for your date the other day. Your father accidently sewed himself to that dress and called me that night telling me he had to have stitches. He made your dress by hand and nearly lost a finger. There is a reason your dress is red. It was white but your dad bled out onto the dress. So he dyed it red." I say. "Can you tell me some stories about him." She says getting very interested. Everyone else except Barry comes in here almost as if on que. "Well I think we can give you a few." Caitlin says. "So I want to start this off with a funny one. So 2 years ago me and your father got whammied and stuck in a musical. The look on your face explains our confusion when we woke up. We had to work our way through the musical, and as we did your fathers snark and cockiness was coming out because he was getting fed up with it all. His words were 'If the bitch comes back here Imma impel him with an icicle.' and I kid you not he walked face first into a wall right after. It was karma at it's finest." Kara says. Nora giggles. "Ok I guess me next, your father is a brave man. I was standing in the middle of the CCPD and mind you this was before he got his speed, and I was shot at by a criminal who got lose, he ran over and pushed me out of the way and took 9 bullets for me that day. He nearly didn't make it." Iris says. We continue on telling stories until everyone has told one except me. "So mom what is a story about dad that you experienced with him." Nora asks. "Yeah kiddo you never really talk much about him." Dad says. "Well I don't get to spend much time with him since I am with the legends now. But my favorite adventure with him would have to either be the time we fought Savitar back to back just us or the night he proposed." I say playing with my ring.
