It was absolutely quiet in the basement. Not even the smallest sound of the dirty water in the old swimming pool could be heard.
It was also pretty dark since there were no windows or lightnings in the room.
Only the shiny blue tail of the mermaid sitting on the edge of the pool was glowing in it's pitch black surroundings.
Taehyung was playing with a few dried leaves which were probably still from the last autumn.
Not that he knew which season it was. He didn't even know how long he had been in this basement.
One year maybe? Two years? Perhaps even less?
He really didn't know.
And he would probably never leave this basement again. He would die here and be forgotten by the world in not even a second.
If there only was someone who could forget him. Nobody knew him, they don't know about his existence. Those who knew him already thought he was dead.
And he didn't know anybody either.
He shouldn't exist anymore anyways. It wouldn't be a loss for anyone if he just died here.
For no one but himself.
Because taehyung didn't want to die.
