*~ Taking Shelter ~*

It had been about an hour since I left the small house and about a third of that time was me taking a break. And when I had been walking I was going slower than normal because I was writing. I had been laying on the grass and staring at the clouds and I was about to get up to leave but then I noticed that the clouds seemed darker than normal.

"Oh, I guess it's going to rain." I sat up while saying this still looking up at the sky.

"Wait... shouldn't I be concerned about this?" I crossed my legs and stared at the grass in front of me. My eyes widened as I remembered why I disliked water.

"This is not good, this is actually the opposite of a good thing." I stood up as fast as I could and started running back the way I came, hoping that I would make it back to the house I found in time.

(In case you couldn't tell large empty spaces in my writing means it's a time skip.)

"This is just fantastic," I said with malice as I pulled up the hood of my cloak to cover my head. I had been running for about 15 minutes before it started raining. If I remember correctly I should make it to the house I found soon.

I continue running in the direction I came from until I saw the house in the distance. I smiled to myself and continue in the direction of the small building. Once I got to the house I happily walked inside and took off my cloak which had gotten damp from the rain and set it on the crafting table. I soon did the same with my bag. Thankfully I don't think I have any major wounds but I do have some minor burns on my hands and face which sucks, but I'll live.

I look around a little looking for something to do to pass the time. I remember the other room with the bookshelves in it and decide that I could read something. I walk into the room and start looking for a book that isn't too damaged.

My eyes landed on a book with a black cover and silver accents, I couldn't quite read the title of the book because it was damaged. (I couldn't come up with a name for the book and I didn't want Ranboo reading Twilight because that was the only thing I could think of) I turned the book so I was looking at its back so I could read what it was about. I tried to read it but the only words that I could make out were dreamons, war, and survivor's.

"Huh." I turned the book over and looked at the cover, it had an odd picture of various floating islands on it.

"I suppose this will do." I walked over to the bed plopped down and leaned against a wall. I opened the book and started reading. When I turned its pages I did so carefully as to not damage it. Who knows maybe someone might find this place and if they do they might want to read this book.

I was about a quarter of the way through the book when it started to get dark outside. It was still raining so I couldn't sleep in a tree again, so I had to make this place safer so I could stay here. Although in hindsight I probably should have done that sooner. I carefully laid the book I'm reading, pages down on the bed so I didn't lose my place in it.

I get up and push one of the bookshelves in front of a large hole in one of the walls. I also need a light source in the room I'm staying in so I go into the other room looking for things to make one with.

I start by opening the double chest and grabbing one of the sticks from inside it. Then I go over to the furnaces and check to see if there is any coal in them. Luckily for me, there is, so I grab a piece and head over to the crafting table. I grab my bag and cloak and set them on the floor.

I don't think I know how to open menus so I'm glad the crafting table is there because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to craft torches. I set the coal and stick on the crafting table in their respective places and once I was finished the two items merged together and made a torch.

I grabbed it, and once it was in my hand it lit itself. This startled me so I dropped it while taking a step back. Once The torch was out of my hand it stopped burning. I stepped forward and picked it up again, this time when it lit up it didn't scare me as much.

I walked back to the bedroom. "How do I place this?" I asked myself as I looked at the torch. I looked at one of the walls and walked up to it. Then I just kinda put the torch on the wall. It continued to burn so I think I did it correctly. I smiled as I looked at the torch, I was quite proud of my little accomplishment.

I walked over to another bookshelf and pushed in front of the door. Then walked back over to the bed and picked up my book back up. I sat back down on the bed and continued reading. After a little while, I got tired so I set the book on the chest near the bed and went to sleep.

I should probably explain how menus work in this universe. Opening your menu is a skill you need to learn and the only way to learn is for someone who already knows how to open it teaches to you, and even then some people still can't open menus. Even if someone can't open menus they can still use crafting tables as long as they have items they can craft with. Also, you can only destroy things the same way you do in Minecraft if you have tools that were made using a crafting table, because if you have tools that were made the same way they are made IRL they will act the same way as tools made IRL. The same applies with blocks if you get cobblestone with a Minecraft pick it will act like it does in Minecraft only with some slight gravity (this just means you can't make a floating island you would still need supports just less of them) And if you build with things that you didn't craft or collect with tools they will follow the same rules as real life. Another thing I should mention is that other tools can affect Minecraft items. This just means you can take gold mined with a Minecraft pickaxe and turn it into a delicately crafted crown, or you could take tools you crafted and decorate them with other things and they will continue to follow the rules they followed before. I think that's all.
