*~ A Conversation ~*

After a while of me trying to sleep, I heard the sound of wood breaking. I look at where the sound is coming from. I sat up and saw the person that broke the wood, they had turned around so they could block the rest of the cave back off. But from what I could see of them I could tell that they were far more prepared for the weather than I was. Then they turned around, I was surprised and a little scared, to say the least. They were an anthropomorphic pig wearing a crown. They looked like they were strong enough to lift a horse with ease.

"Glad to see that you're alive, I half expected you were just going to be dead when I got back" Their voice was rough and unwelcoming, but it was laced with a sarcastic undertone. It soothed my worries about my safety just a little bit.

"Yeah, sorry about that," I took my gaze off the stranger and started staring at the campfire. I didn't want to look at them, it made me too uncomfortable, but it was even more unnerving to know that they were still staring at me.

"Thanks for saving me." I was thankful that this person saved me, but I didn't trust them and I still didn't know for sure if they wanted to harm me or not.

"You're welcome," While they were saying this they walked over to their bag and sat down.

"If you don't mind me asking what were you doing out there in a blizzard?" There was a hint of curiosity in their voice.

"Oh you know-" I paused for a moment, trying to think of something to say. I didn't want to sound rude.

"Just taking a small walk." I probably didn't sound very sure of my answer.

"Uh-huh," They didn't sound very convinced.

"And how long were you walking for before the snowstorm started?"

"Um-" I think for a moment trying to remember.

"Almost two months, I think."

"HEH?!" The sudden yell made me jump a little bit. Did I upset them somehow?

"Were you trying to get yourself killed?" I had frozen in place and didn't really pay attention to what they had said. I started hearing a faint ringing in my ears and my vision started to blur slightly due to the tears that had started to form in my eyes.

There was a long pause before anyone said anything else. The stranger then let out a small chuckle and then looked away from me.

"Heh, hehe." I sighed after letting out a confused laugh. Then I glanced over at the stranger and noticed that they were staring at the campfire. I have no idea what the stranger was laughing about, but I decided to go along with it.

"That sounds like the laugh of a guilty man, and the silence doesn't help your case." While saying this the stranger started to look over at me and I quickly turned back to the campfire.

"Wow, didn't know I was that unpleasant to look at." The stranger then leaned forward while still looking at me, as if they were trying to look at my face or make eye contact. So I looked away from the campfire and started staring at the wall. So I was completely looking away from the stranger.

"please stop." My voice was so quiet that I'd be surprised if they heard me at all.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, it's fine."

"No, tell what you said."

"It was nothing, don't worry about it."
